My eyes hurt from rolling so hard. If you’re going to talk up the “plot” so much, and how much it’ll make people gasp, maybe it shouldn’t just make the reader sigh in exasperation at how pretentious and annoying the whole book is by the time it’s revealed. I didn’t like any of the characters, (except the cat) and I had a pretty good guess at the ending.
