Too many? Everything. This book is a like reading a hurricane in the midst of an earthquake, while preparing for a cyclone. There are so many things going on...big ideas,(good ideas), that individually fleshed out, plotted carefully, with special attention to the small details that build the characters, could've been two very good books. Unfortunately, what we have is a fast paced, loosely plotted, shoot 'em up body count book that just doesn't read like an Andrew Gross novel.

I would give Andrew Gross a 4.5 stars for this book if I knew how to do that here. ;) One of those thrillers that is hard to put down. Once you think you just might have things figured out, a curve ball is thrown. As women we hope we would never find outselves in a situation like this, but we can never know how we'll respond in the moments. The character Wendy is in the wrong place at the wrong time after making one unwise decision, and before she can resolve her error, she is placed in a situat

I was reading this as I was traveling through Colorado because of that it really brought this book alive. The characters development were superb. The way they finally got together at the end was not what I was expecting. If you like Andrew Gross's books this is a must read.
