A young adult historical fiction series featuring strong women as assassin nuns?? Sounds good to me! I blew through the first two books in this series (the 3rd is due out in November) and was pleasantly surprised by the awesome combination of great writing, an interesting story that kept me guessing, characters that I felt strongly about loving or hating, and female protagonists that are full, multi-dimensional, interesting, and smart women. LaFevers is a genius and the His Fair Assassin world is one I hope to read more of. I'm disappointed that there are only 3 books to be had in this series.
Check this one out for great discussions about morality and justice systems that run astray of the norm. Since the premise is loosely based on real events in history, it brings some interesting discoveries to historical fiction buffs as well.
If you're one who has to know the ending, wait until November when the last book comes out...because you will read through these quickly!
