I had to sit on this one for a couple of days before I wrote a review.
It's weird to say that I loved this book because of the content, but wow, was it powerful.
It was so well written and I appreciate how the author put together the story. It was a heavy read, so I do recommend that a person be in a good head space before reading it. The majority of the Historical Fiction that I read is WWII based, but I was not familiar with the Vel' d'Hiv Roundup. I, of course have now gone down a google rabb ...more

I still love this book. The content is heavy, the story is lovely, the strength of these characters is so real.
