Julia My favourite this year, The Name of the Wind, is number 305 on this list, with two votes! And it's the top of my list! 😉

I am a tad behind the times... don't read many new releases!

message 53: by Megan (new)

Megan I think my favorites rarely breach the top 100 haha Looks like the only one I voted for on the first page is #13, Children of Blood and Bone (which was really freaking great).

Megan Hey internet acquaintances, how is everyone doing with their book challenges? I'm 15 books behind :( Oh well. Maybe next year I'll hit 50 again!

I'm at 96 of 90. Looking forward to next years challenge.

I'm at 96/100, and the way I've scheduled out the rest of my year, I'll complete the challenge exactly by the end.

message 59: by Kat (new)

Kat I'm at 92/80, so I'm doing well. I have a kid, though, and I count the books we read together before bed as part of my reading, which gives me a bit of padding to my numbers.

message 60: by Penny (new)

Penny I'm at 16 of 12. I know, sounds so little. Problem was, this year I planned on reading the really huge books (i.e. ones with many pages) sitting waiting for me to read and I started out ok, reading a gargantuan but terrible book, but then I kept doing ARC book reviews and it killed that long novel idea damn it. The last review I did, I thought damn it, I'm not getting to lessen my own unread book collection, I'll quit doing the ARC book reviews! And then I responded to a request by the New Zealand Bookseller's Association last week, and voila, I have two more ARC books in line for review. I am a nutbar, truly, I must be...

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all - can't wait for the new lists next year xxx

message 61: by Megan (new)

Megan Haha that's been one of my problems too, Penny! There are so many ARCs I want to read, but I have a to-read shelf the size of a bookcase :P

I'm going to set a smaller goal next year, I think!

I have only read 23 so far of my goal of 21, but three of my books were over 700 pages (one was an even 1000 pages), so they kept me busy for quite some time!

Kate Can you link the 2019 list here when you have made it? Thanks 😁

My lists for 2019 are still disappearing, I've tried it twice now and just contacted GR about this. I truly hope there is more luck with this one!
