Does anyone have any recommendations on what to read? Anything that can make me go :D all day. If I want to start on a new series. So far I finished with two listed beneath my comment. One of them is recently new, and I'm waiting for the next installment. as of now I need something else...

I just graduated 8th grade this year, and every single girl in my class (including me!)is obsessed with the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Mass. These books are really popular, so chances are you already have them! There are three books in the main series, as well as a prequel. The fourth book comes out on September 1st!!(I can't wait!!)

Ummm... The Throne of Glass series, if you haven't read it. Very good. And the The Name of the Wind, although that's only got a couple of books out. Oh, and The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making - there are four of those.

And of course the marvellous Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. 41 books, and the order doesn't really matter - just pick one up you like the look of and read.

many of the books on this list seem to be for children rather than 'young adults'. can Charlie and the Chocolate factory really be a Young adult book for instance? Or Charlotte's web?

I don't understand. I love Dan Brown and Khaled Hosseini - only two examples - but they're not YA. So I don't vote for them.

Harry Potter is the best book because it has a good plot, good characters and it's a beautiful story. Twilight is good but the plot is very cliché and the characters act with no sense sometimes.

Why are Where the Wild Things Are and The Giving Tree on this list exactly?

Cinder and the Selection deserve to be higher on this list. These books are amazing.
