Yhoana Arteaga How can people write such big books?Ugh,i feel so sorry for them, having to come up with ideas just to make the Twilight books so big.

:(

message 1105: by Sharon (last edited Jan 05, 2016 05:59AM) (new)

Sharon Hey, could someone take out Divergent in number 41? It is already on the list in the 8th spot.

And as far a I could remember, Fern (in Charlotte's Web #26) is 8 years old so it shouldn't be classified as a young adult genre. The book itself, is a children's book.

message 1106: by Marti (new)

Marti Dolata Dune is NOT a YA book and hould be removed from this list.

message 1107: by [deleted user] (new)

You do know that a lot of these are NOT ya books.

Percy jackson is middle grade(like a lot of these books) and the black dagger brotherhood is adult erotica. They may be read by some teens but are in no way written for or marketed for teens.

message 1108: by Mary (new)

Mary Marshall I would rather be reading. If you are exporting why waste my time?

message 1109: by Kathy (new)

Kathy C Just read the Devil of Gilding by D. E. Colombo - Excellent book, great story line, wonderful characters, wonderfully written and keeps the reader on their toes wanting to turn to the next page. Great YA book and it needs to be read.

message 1110: by Jacob (new)

Jacob Harry Potter isn't YA. Harry Potter is Middle Grade.

Read the percy jackson and the olympians series

message 1112: by Gea (last edited Feb 11, 2016 02:24AM) (new)

Gea I went through the first 20 pages of the list and removed all books that are not #1 in series and some erotica books. I think I removed well over 100 books and hope the list is a bit cleaner now. I'll try to go over the rest of the pages with time but there are way too many of them

message 1113: by Chelz (new)

message 1116: by Westwindqwert (new)

Westwindqwert Ok, first of all, Twilight is not completely horrible...

Just wait,

but even worse.

I voted for Hunger Games, Percy Jackson (and the Heroes of Olympus series), and Harry Potter. :D

message 1117: by Lalani (new)

Lalani What about hush hush patch and nora's love is amazing

message 1118: by Laura (new)

Laura hey everybody! I just started a YA book blog and if you could maybe spend a few minutes of your time and go visit it, that'd be great! thanks!

here's the address: http://laurapearlbyrne.wix.com/tobook...

message 1119: by Jill (new)

Jill The age range is just too wide. And even if separate into say middle school and high school -- still too broad a category. Need to have best YA (high school) Fantasy, best YA (high school) Dystopian, best YA (high school) realistic fiction etc.

message 1120: by Jill (new)

Jill Madison wrote: "Why is the discussion only Harry Potter and Twilight, you guys do know there are other books that deserve attention too right?

I'm kinda wondering how To Kill a Mockingbird is not higher."

SO RIGHT! And someone questioned why pride and prejudice is on here as young adult!

message 1121: by niamh (new)

niamh Tony wrote: "twilight is so weird. All it is is people who are vampires and werewolves"

Exactly

message 1123: by Kairia (new)

Kairia There's 3 different Hunger Games on the front page. It should only have one entry.

message 1124: by Donna (new)

Donna This list is sooooooooooo amazing!!!!!!!!

message 1125: by Julien (new)

message 1126: by Екатерина (last edited May 16, 2016 12:05AM) (new)

Екатерина Фомина (Каюкова) I removed some books that are not #1 in series and some duplicates. Please, check the list before add some new book in it. And remember: add only FIRST book is the series.

message 1127: by Jon (new)

Jon Stubbs vampires should not be sparkly bleh

message 1128: by Amie (new)

Amie Is it wrong for me to not have read harry potter and twilight?
i have read percy jackson, heroes of olympus, the mortal instruments, the infernal devices and the hunger games. I plan to read harry potter but i don't think i will even read twilight. I'm not a huge fan of the helpless girl routine.

Hi Mrs B. I wonder if you're still interested in any suggestions after all this time. What about The Ship Kings series by Andrew McGahan? Good clean, original, exciting YA fantasy adventures.

And the Queen of Dreams books by Peter F Hamilton. (Book 2 coming out Jul 2016). Bk 1 was excellent.

message 1133: by Connor (new)

Connor I note a serious lack of Way of Kings, Discworld, The name of the Wind, The Bartimaues Trilogy, and Red Rising. What the heck?

message 1135: by Peace (new)

Peace Hi! I am having trouble working around listopia, and i just created one... i don't understand how the voting thing works. If i created it, is there anyway for me to automatically add the books i want rather than voting for them and then waiting for others too as well?

message 1136: by Lara Sofia (new)

Lara Sofia me i loooove the selection series

message 1137: by Allison (new)

Allison Jensen Why is "A Child Called 'It'" on here? It's not young adult. It's a true story of some pretty horrific child abuse.

message 1138: by Chrissy (new)

Chrissy Jo Twilight is a good book for number one

message 1139: by Daisy (new)

Just found the Warrior Unbound trilogy by C.M.Kane. The first is called Island of the Gods, the second Realms (second is better than the first) There's a couple of spots in the first book that need a little editing, but nothing that ruins the story, over-all I'm lovin it, the third in the trilogy is supposed to be released,Dec/Jan,, cant wait. On the downside, so far they're only in Ebook format, but they're still a good little read if you enjoy Y.A. Sci-Fi (which I do)

message 1148: by kyle (new)

Fallen by Lauren Kate (#62) from this list is our first series read starting in January 2017. If your interested please feel free to join our group.

message 1150: by Amana (new)

Amana Just a suggestion but i really think you guys have to see Eon and Eona. There like the best series. The author is Alison Goodman.
