For the main cast, it is starring Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta, and Liam Hemsworth as Gale!

Thanks! Wow, you know a lot about this! LOL JK

I found the Twilight books way better than the movies. (well, I haven't watched Breaking Dawn yet, so i cant comment on that movie) And I have read the Nightshade Series, they are pretty amazing, I have to agree!

I loved Shiver, and Forever. But I found Linger a bit boring after a while.

Actually we were talking about a variety of books, but yeah, the Hunger Games were one of them. And I agree with you, I love the Hunger Games too! :)

Dude, that Percy Jackson & the Olympians is one of the BEST series ever written! It is right up there with The Hunger Games for me, it's just for a younger age level, and with more humor.

OH YEAH! I forgot about that series. The movie was pretty good too, surprisely. Cause, no offense, but the TWILIGHT books were good, but the MOVIES SUCKED! they were tottaly different......

To be frank,I am pleased to get you but I am very new to your 'webs',I have been a voracious reader some years back, now I am trying to regain this after completing my current study in MBA.
Ur new friend,S.T.Leta

A couple of problems with the YA genre are age grouping (what is cutting edge for 17 may be too mature for 13 (see comments above about appropriateness)), and the idiotic idea held by publishers that the lead characters cannot be more than 2 years older than the target readers. I think this really sells young readers short. I read The Lord of the Rings when I was 14, and didn't think "Gosh, Frodo is 34, he's too old to interest me." So, if the lead characters are 20 and 19, but this is first love, are they too old? If not, read "The Ballad of Young Tam Lin." Great writing, love, sensuality (without graphic sex), jeopardy, humor, and some moments of deep introspection. You've gotta read this one (unless you hate fantasy romance.)

They're the worst books I've ever read!"
Oh my gosh that's so funny i can't say I 100 percent agree but it's true Twilight is not the best book in the world reason its on the list in the first place is due to too much over exaggeration and publicity. Just because its a big hit movie. The Story plot okay but the characters are so dramatic and the theme of forbidden love mixed with the over use of vampires well it does cut it for me.

Twilight is going down!
I'm going to re-plug The Ballad of Young Tam Lin. All the people who hate Twilight, with good reason, but still enjoy fantasy romance, you should love this one. Excellent writing, convincing characters, novel twists, and some opportunity for deep thinking. Preview the first 3 chapters on Kindle ("look inside"), or buy it at https://www.createspace.com/3661637.

i third all of you!!!! HARRY POTTER ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah! I agree with you!!! I tried reading Harry Potter but I couldn't... I just couldn't. I mean I like the movies and I have nothing against Harry Potter the books or J.K Rowling herself... It's just, I couldn't read the books because they really did bore me. And I really do like Twilight. It's awesome! I've read Stephenie's books many times and I'm still in love with them!! :)
My wife (author Patricia Leslie) and I read to each other before bed, and we got into the Harry Potters around book 4, when we didn't want to wait another year+ for the next film. We enjoyed the latter books (except Deathly Hallows, which dragged for us), but have no desire to go back to the beginning. Might be interesting to start in the middle, to better appreciate Rowling's excellent take on the pains of adolescence.

Well, The Lorax manages the "young" quite well, but I'd say it's about a decade off the "adult." Ryan, I totally agree. However, like American politics, I don't see any way to force people to stick to the issues - it's always going to have elements of "but I LOVE this" involved, even if the genre is totally off.
It's a more diverse list than one might have expected. Sure, the fan-based series are all there, but there is also a nice mix of many genres and subjects.

I'm with ya there!!! i love books too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally agree! twlight is ok but im still HP forever!!!!!!

Re Vanessa, the struggle to have the last word never ends. I'm impressed that there are ONLY 9 pages of "I'm right!" "NO, I'M right." However, we could all let others' opinions stand for our own, and move on. There must be other books to talk about.
