Donna Davis The system found and removed one duplicate. Could not find Unbroken; did someone else pull it?

Obviously I am doing something wrong and I apologize. Thank you for calling my attention. I will ask the administration for help.

Elyse✨ I am removing Memoirs of a Geisha and To Kill A Mockingbird for being Fiction. And I'm removing Seabiscuit because it is a biography of a horse.

Thanks for doing that; it's a good idea to document the page number and attach a link.

OK Donna. I'll add the page number next time I delete books. I'm not sure how to add a link but I'll look for instructions. This list needs much tidying but I still like it. I'm a glutton for biographies and memoirs.

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads If Donna means a link to the title (what it sounds like to me, but I'm not Donna!), I'd just use the "add book/author" at the top of the reply area.

Thank you Susanna. That sounds easy enough.

That's exactly what I meant, and thank you both.

Elyse✨ Whoo, this list needs some culling...
Paris Wife #426
Anne Boleyn #1200 (I wish she had written a memoir!!!)
Original Million Dollar Mermaid #1204
Cutting for Stone #1206
The Goldfinch #1216
Lust for Life #1370
This is all I have time for until later.

Thanks for the heads-up, Elyse. I can see this list needs work, but I think you sounded the alert in time for us to repair the damage. This will be my main Goodreads project till it's all cleaned up.

message 62: by Elyse✨ (new)

Elyse✨ Thanks Donna - This list is almost 10 years old. We've been fixing and adding to it all this time so it's worth the trouble of keeping it accurate. The circa 2008 lists are my favorites.

Oops, I'm so sorry Donna. I meant to write in my message that I was deleting that list of titles. I zapped them already. I apologize that I was not clearer in my post.

Oh...I see now. I thought it was a list of titles you were asking to have deleted. Your message sounded like you might be a GR librarian, so I wondered about that. Thanks for clearing it up.

Donna Davis Removed as fiction (and it sure looks like a case of sock puppets to boot, as far as I can see), The Tethered Unicorn:

Donna Davis Removed from #363, and this is not the first list I've pulled this title from, a peculiar thing indeed for a title with nearly no ratings or reviews, Sunshine and Her Big Blarney Smile:

message 69: by Lobstergirl (new)

Lobstergirl Reverted title change. Memoirs/autobiographies are automatically nonfiction.

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads Persistent, isn't she?

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads Yes, Lobstergirl is wonderfully persistent.

She said yes is nonfiction. I read it years ago. I believe it was written by her mom if I remember correctly so I would consider it maybe memoir? I read it as soon as it arrived to my door and finished within a few hours. Very good book!!

Anne Secher It's actually a dystopian. All the Light We Cannot See is not an autobiography or memoir either.

Give me the page # and I will remove it. Not seeing it on the first couple pages...

Avis Black I wish we had more slots. I specialize in reading memoirs, and my 5- and 4-star memoir picks wouldn't even fit into only 100 slots. I had to make the decision to kick out the more famous books to make room to showcase the more-obscure-but-still-remarkable memoirs.

I had never thought to do it that way, Avis. I like your reasoning. I have always eliminated the 4 stars when I am forced to start trimming my list, but yours is more creative. Nice way to put the focus on new talent.
