The Sweet Gum Tree was published in 2005.

I am so glad I found this list. I am getting so sick of reading series where you have to wait at least one year to get to the second book. Not reading series with more than 3 books anymore. I am going to take a look. See if I find something good on here I can get.

Eta. NOO First thing I see is the books that are on all the lists. Books from series.Not only that but more than half seem to be series books. Oh well :-(

Aren't stand-alones supposed to be..well, STAND-ALONES? How hard is that to understand?! Most of the books in this list are definitely NOT stand-alones! Geez...

Well that was anticlimatic. This list is titled as 'Stand Alone' books, yet almost all of them are part of a series...ummmm hello.....

Half are series and half are young adults. (Going to find another list where standalone really is standalone)

Not only are the majority of these books from series, they were published prior to 2013. Total letdown.

And I thought Stand-Alone books were supposed to be Stand-ALONES. Most books here on the list came from series. meh.

you are absolutely right. What gives. most are actually not stand alones.

Okay, this list is made of fail. I'm removing the books that are part of a series or not from this year. At least, I'll try; I won't be able to get all of them.

There we go. It's not completely devoid of misplaced books, but it's a lot better.

Most are not stand alone and several are definitely not from 2012-2013, but the books are excellent all the same!

I love this list, But I can't find the novel in my language.. so hard to find..:((

This list is a total FAIL! Might as well delete it, it's useless. People obviously can't read the STAND ALONE part.
