Thom Dunn disappointed not to see 100 years of solitude and Invisible Man on this list....perhaps Everyman could not get rights to them ?

Captain Sir Roddy, R.N. (Ret.) I find it curious too, that there's nothing by Henry James here. It seems that, at a minimum, The Portrait of a Lady and The Wings of the Dove should have been included. Edith Wharton and Thomas Hardy are also notably absent. I realize that this is a list from "Everyman's Library", but all the same, it is kind of a weird list with a goodly number of books that I consider to be somewhat mediocre--not what I consider to be 'Essential'. Ah, but it is all in the eye of the beholder, is it not? Cheers!

Ben A Goodreads author spammed a bunch of her dating books on this list. Really? Dating books? On the Everyman library list? I deleted them all of course, but there appears to still be one extra book on the list. Can't tell which one doesn't belong.....

BookLovingLady (deceased Jan. 25, 2023...) There seem to be more than 100 books on this list...
