Nice to see three of the choices are available free from project gutenberg. Should make it more accessible and increase the comments.

I would normally vote to re-read the obvious classic, but Frankenstein is a frustrating read for me. I found it boring but, worse, Shelly's indecision about her own life views (if I remember correctly, she was ony 19 when she wrote it) results in her characters contradicting themselves quite often about their views. If it's chosen be ready for some discussion that might be a bit dissenting. :) With that out of the way, I chose the one I haven't yet read: Let the Right One In.
I havent read any of these and am open to which ever one is favored. For now, I choose October Country simply because it looks like a fun read and I am suspect I am going to need a fun read by October.

I liked Frankenstein a lot when I read it long ago, but would rather read something I haven't read before. I'm a Bradbury fan, have read 5 of his books/short story collections, one of them just about a year ago.I'm voting for Carmilla, it sounds interesting and I haven't read anything by this writer.

I have read Frankenstein twice. It is an OK book, but I am not interested in reading 3 times. Like most, I would rather read something I haven't read before.
Carmilla is really a novella and Franenstein is average length. Whichever one wins, there may be time to read the other as well for those who are interested.
Good idea, Beth! I've read already Frankenstein fairly recently and enjoyed it. If it wins that will be 3 months in a row I've already read the group read! Unheard of.... ;)

Wow. This is going to be a close one. I jumped ahead and read carmilla when it looked like Frankenstein was going to be the winner. I enjoyed the book, but also agree with previous comments that it would be easy to read this and another book. Look forward to joining in.
Yes, I read it too. I tried out Serial Reader for Android with Carmilla. Very interesting story.
That was a really close vote. I'm glad Carmilla won. What would happen in a tie? Coin flip?
If it is like the other group I belong to, there is a run off between the two (or more contenders).
