Joseph I don't how I will vote yet, but I do have all 4 volumes of The Raj Quartet.

Dianne They are all so extremely different! I’ll read any of them though - they all look good to me.

message 3: by Rachel (new)

Rachel D i own the Raj Quartet and have tried to read IQ84, several times.
lol i hope the numbers get better.

message 4: by Dan (new)

Dan Perhaps we can read The Raj Quartet after IQ84 (and then Ducks) and not need a poll for a while.

message 5: by Dianne (new)

Dianne Not a bad idea! We can discuss, and worst case scenario we just add these back for the next contemporary poll. Another option would be to do a side read - we can set those up whenever I just would hope they don’t dilute from the main group read.

Dianne And ducks takes second!

message 7: by Joseph (new)

Joseph The Raj Quartet hasn't been faring well lately in polls. It was in another poll before, and ended up losing that time.

tied for second now! Once the poll finishes we can discuss if we want to skip the next couple contemporary polls and read our 2nd and 3rd choices here instead.

Dan The Raj Quartet could easily be a regular Chunkster (not contemporary). Action is in the nineteen forties, and published over ten years starting in 1965. Writing is more like Tolstoy than modern or something truly contemporary, like IQ or Ducks...

I agree! Raj could definitely fall into the classic chunkster category as well.
