KOMET I cast my vote for "Harlem's Hell Fighters: The African-American 369th Infantry in World War I" by Stephen L. Harris.

Harlem's Hell Fighters The African-American 369th Infantry in World War I by Stephen L. Harris

This book has special resonance for me because my maternal grandfather (born in 1895) had served in France as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during 1918. He lived until 1973 (when I was in elementary school).

Ronald May I submit my book for consideration, please? I would greatly appreciate feedback from this group. Spitting Image: A Foundling's Memoir of Faith and Gratitude

Karin So many good choices, but I am most interested in South Side Girls right now. I have been interested in women's history for many years, and then after reading The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America's Great Migration a few years ago. Wow, I just checked and it's been five years since I read it--where does the time go?

I'll be happy to add it to the poll when we reach the memoir theme month! :)
