Some tough choices. I'm not sure which one I'd vote for just now. I would love East of Eden, but many of the others are great choices as well.

I'd love if Don Quixote would win as that would coerce me into finally delving into the belly of that beast of a book.
I'd be happy to read any of the suggested books next month with the exception of The Master and Margarita. I'd like to read Goethe's Faust first.
On p.279 of Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi I just read an allusion to The Portrait of Dorian Gray. Very little idea of what she is referring to.... I hate being in the dark... Perhaps we'll be reading this together soon. :)
I read Dorian Gray earlier in the year after seeing a recent movie version. I've read The Hobbit about a million times since I was twelve. I'm hoping for something new, but if not I'll still jump in the discussions. My choice, Jude The Obscure, is looking pretty unlikely at this point. ;-)
