I would like Port Chicago as a second choice if the tie remains.

Sadly, my library doesn't have any of these yet (3 are on order).I'm most interested in Port Chicago and then Angel Island.

Don't despair, Carol, maybe they will be on the library shelves in time to read before March ... oh wait, March is only a few days away!
I guess I'd better check my library for availability, since, like you, I use the library for just about all my reading material!

I'm confused. Wasn't Port of Chicago and Angel Island both published in 2013 making them ineligible for the 2015 Newbery medal?
Seeing Sheinkin this weekend at Western Washington University so I vote for Port Chicago! Finishing up listening to Bomb as well.
Yes, Angel Island does have a 2013 copyright.
