This book was not what I expected, but I really liked it. I thought it would be more of a suspense / mystery / supernatural type book but I found it to be more in the romance department these categories on the side. Not that that's a bad thing, it just was different from what I expected. I feel that the idea and experience of being in high school was portrayed pretty well although I'm not an expert on the partying side. (heh, guess I was at home reading)

I really liked that the author wrote small parts in the killer's point of view, I think it was really clever. I like that she didn't sugar coat it either.

I liked Jay, and think it was quite cute that he knew about her gift? ability? and was there for her.

I thought that the ending was slightly predictable, although I was genuinely surprised that it was the cop I didn't see that coming. I did see it coming that Jay survived.

I'll probably read the second book and I've heard (maybe?) that a third is coming out so perhaps I'll read the whole trilogy!

What did everyone think of the way that Violet handled Jay's popularity with her classmates?
