Handle with Care was probably my favorite. It is a large book, but I really enjoyed it. I also loved Safe Haven. it was such a page turner. The beginning was a little slow, but once you got in and found out more about the main character I couldn't put it down.

Rachael (rachaelc94) The Way I See It: A Look Back at My Life on Little House

Just finished on Thursday. It was a great book and a very easy read. Melissa played Mary Ingalls on The Little House on the Prairie TV show. She looked back at all 8 seasons and you learned a lot of insider facts about the show along the way.

Rachael (rachaelc94) # 19 Love the One You're With

It was a great book. You were always questioning the main character and her motives. Love the one your with is about the guy that got away and finding happiness in the life you are living at the moment. The book was a page turner.

Rachael (rachaelc94) #20 Annie's Baby: The Diary of Anonymous, A Pregnant Teenager

Very good book. You get to know what Annie is really thinking inside her head and what she went through to the decision she came to. I read this book in 3 days.

Rachael (rachaelc94) #21 Between the Lines

Jodi Picoult's newest book written with her daughter Samantha Van Leer was an amazing book. It is different from any other book of Jodi that I have read. You will find yourself hoping for the main character and disappointed at times.

message 8: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) # 22 The Guardian

This was a great book that was a sweet story, but also a thriller.

message 9: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) #23 The Book Thief

I had to read this book for school and it was by far the best book I have ever read for school. I enjoyed this book and didn't dread reading it as I do most books that I have to read for school. It was an almost 600 page book and it took us about a month to read. I never had to read it outside of school. We read for the first 15 minutes of class and then I would read the rest during my open to finish the assignment. It took me about 45 minutes to finish each assignment for this book and we had to read roughly 45 pages per assignment so I do about a page a minute. I finished all The Way I see it through The Guardian while also reading this book.

Susan (chlokara) | 846 comments I'm glad you liked this book, Rachael, because it is one of my favorites. Even though it is a Young Adult book, I have found that all ages love it. I read it with a group of people all over 55 years old, and everyone loved it and learned from it.

yes The Book Thief was a great book.

Rachael (rachaelc94) #24 Heart of the Matter

A great book. It was so complicated that even myself as the reader wasn't sure what to feel sometimes. I did a big push to finish this book today.

Rachael (rachaelc94) #25 A Bend in the Road

An amazing book that had many bends in the road.

Rachael (rachaelc94) #26 Keep Holding On

Great short read. Noelle get bullied at school. It is defiantly a story I can relate to.

message 15: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) #27 So Much Closer

Great short read. It is about Brooke following this boy she likes to New York. The plot line isn't the best, but you will be surprised that this book is much more than the summary gives away.

message 16: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) #28 The Time Keeper

My first audiobook. A great book with an unusual twist on time.

message 17: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) #29 Lock and Key

A great book. The characters were well developed and hard to figure out at times, but they all grew so much during the course of this book.

message 18: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) # 30 Oedipus Rex

I had to read this book for school and it took me all of an hour and a half. It was not a great book at all so I'm glad it didn't take long.

message 19: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) #31 Little Clearing in the Woods

I finished this on Friday November 3rd. It was a good book. I love the little house books. This one is the third installment in the Caroline series.

message 20: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) #32 Bittersweet Blessing: 16 & Pregnant

Bittersweet Blessing was about Ashley Salzar and her choice to give her daughter, Callie up for adoption. There was some very real emotions in this book. It is a very short book. It is only 175 pages. I would not recommend spending any money on this book because you will be able to read it quickly and you probably won't want to read it again. I did enjoy the book, but it isn't the best book I have ever read.

Rachael (rachaelc94) # 33 Nineteen Minutes

A great book. Read my review for more details. This book was the longest it took me to read a book this school year.

message 22: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) #34 Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress

This was another one I had to read for school. I didn't like this book. I found myself zoning out while I was reading it. I hated that most of the characters were unnamed. I would haven't read this book by my own choice. I did get an A on the test though.

message 23: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) #35 The Christmas Shoppe

This book was okay. It wasn't the best book I have ever read. It had a lot of fighting and bickering in the book. It did end up being a sweet Christmas story.

message 24: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) #36 All I Have to Give: A Christmas Love Story

This book had a slow beginning, but it ended up being a really sweet Christmas love story as promised.

message 25: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) #37 Small Town Christmas: Return To Promise\Mail-Order Bride

I'm really not sure whether to count this book as one or two, but I would love to recommend this book. My review is very in depth if you would like to check it out. They were both very light reading and I enjoyed them both.

message 26: by Rachael (last edited Dec 09, 2012 08:40PM) (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) #38The Forgetful Bride

I read this book through the Home for the Holidays book. The other book is When Christmas comes which I read last December. I think it was an okay book. It was super predictable.

#39Angels in the Snow: A Novella

I read this one over the weekend. It was one of the better of Melody Carlson's Christmas novels. This one actually had a storyline. Claire the main character wasn't overly developed, but I did grow to like her over the course of the book. The whole book wasn't predictable so I would say it was a pretty good story.

message 27: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) #40 There's Something About Christmas

Wonderful book. Read my review and then read this book. It was amazing.

message 28: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) #41 Skipping Christmas

The book "Christmas with the Kranks" is based after. It was kind of boring at times and had a slow moving plot, but the moral of this novel is great because the commercialism of Christmas has taken over the true meaning and it would be nice to go back to the real meaning of Christmas. I don't think such extreme measures such as "Skipping Christmas" It was also of book of sometimes perfectly laid plans don't work out. Now that I have read the novel I'm going to have to watch the movie again.

message 29: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) #42 The Odyssey

We had to read this book for school and overall I thought it was weird. I would have not read it on my own.

message 30: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) #43 Where We Belong

Read my review, read this book. It was amazing.

message 31: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) #44 Here Comes Trouble

I really didn't like this book. You can read my review for the reasons.

message 32: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) #45 Christmas at Harrington's

Wonderful Christmas story. I loved the characters and it really brought you back to the true meaning of Christmas.

message 33: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (rachaelc94) This is probably going to be it for me for this year. I am so proud to have read this many books and I'm sure I will be over 50 next year.

Stefanie (trippie) | 506 comments I saw from some of your postings that you're still in school... it's so hard to time the 50 books correctly when that's the case! You did an admirable job getting to 45, and good luck for next year. :)

Well it is my final year of high school so I have a lot going on between babysitting and school. I was able to add a few books for the books we had to read for school. I actually did enjoy one we read this year. I love reading and spend a lot of my free time reading so I'm proud of this number. I'm taking a class called independent reading my final semester as a filler class so I get to read for 70 minutes every other day in school. It is going to be amazing. I'm hoping to go over 50 next year.
