The Year of Reading Proust discussion

There's nothing mandatory about following the proposed schedule, Bianca. There are plenty of people following the threads to respond to comments and inquiries, even if the "official dates" for those threads have passed.

Haha, I know! I just like the idea of the schedule and believe that it would be integrated nicely into my own daily grind, as long as I catch up with it.

Glad to hear this Jason. I've just started a few days back and when I get to the end of a section I plan to read through the threads as they certainly bring to light points. I am hoping at about 30 pages a day I'll be finishing 'Swann' with everyone else.

Thank you for the Kindle locations as I ended up obtaining the set on Kindle.

This is an amazing amount of work and I am very grateful. I read the new translation of ISLT all the way through last year and had already planned to read the older translation this year. I just discovered your site and plan on trying to catch up. I have already started the older version of Swanns Way so I should be able to join in the conversation once I have caught up. By the time I had finished Vol 2 of the novel I was hooked and I began acquiring supplemental books dealing with various aspects of the work. These have been invaluable for someone like me; someone who has never been to France, doesn't speak or read French (yet) and enjoys reading widely as well as deeply. I am finding that these additional texts are adding telling details, depth and complexity, Need to get back to my reading now because I can't wait until I catch up with the group.
