Goodreads Librarians Group discussion

An author wants an old edition of her book to be deleted, which was published under a different title and she doesn't want it associated with her new, soon to be published book. I tried to delete it because it sounded like it qualified for deletion but the system wouldn't allow it. There were no reviews, only one recommendation. Am I missing something? The message said it had to be done by a Super-Librarian "with so many reviews."

The book is called "A Good Soldier" by Lyn Alexander.

Did you separate from the other editions first?

Goldie, older editions don't get deleted. In fact, if it is a new edition of the same book, even with a different title, it should be combined with the new book.

We don't delete books that have been published, even if they go out of print.
