Fran | 12278 comments If anyone wants to read a book written in email form I really loved Attachments by Rainbow Rowell

message 6: by Vi (new)

Vi | 2794 comments I second Attachments by Rainbow Rowell .

message 7: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 1245 comments I loved Meg Cabot's "Boy" series. They are mostly e-mail,letter or text message form. The Boy Next DoorBoy Meets GirlEvery Boy's Got One

I was pleasantly surprised that I feel in love with The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. It's also written in letter form.

For anyone who reads the Nikki Heat series that was generated from the tv show Castle, there is a new release coming out this month. That, and any books in the series, would fit the writer category.

Whispering Rock (Virgin River, #3) by Robyn Carr

Thanks for the link! After looking at the list I realized that I checked out several of those books for my daughter. I might steal one off her TBR pile.

Sassafrass (sass-a-frass) | 4192 comments Hi, I was wondering if for #5 a book that's written like it's the person's journal counts. Specifically, I'm thinking of Crocodile on the Sandbank.

Thanks!

message 22: by Vi (new)

Vi | 2794 comments HI Sass, it's okay. Go ahead with the book

Fran | 12278 comments If anyone needs a book for the Hispanic category and likes m/m, I am currently reading Private Eye and loving it. There are Hispanic characters involved in the investigation part of the story. So far this is a great GFY story with a little mystery thrown in.

message 28: by Makenzie (new)

Makenzie (makenziefay) | 496 comments For #5, if we go with the written form of communication, does the whole book have to be in some written form (like a diary or letters) or does it just have to have that written form at some point? The book I used was one where the main character wrote and received a few letters from his family.

message 29: by Vi (new)

Vi | 2794 comments Thanks for helping out, Fran!

Makenzie, as long the book has the written form at some point, then it will work.
