I know how you feel. I've been so busy with school and still am that I have no time to read anything but school related books, journals and papers. I can't wait for summer.
I just finished The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton today. Even though the start was slow, and I went months without being able to read it I ended up loving this book. I am definitely planning on reading more of Kate's books, and I hope they are as good as this one.

well if you are reading those, wouldnt it count to one of your non-fiction books for the bingo challenge?? :) just a suggestion!

Currently reading The Perfect Storm: A True Story of Men Against the Sea and Persuasion.
Heather How did you like The Forgotten Garden?? I love her books!!! Just finished The Secret Keeper...I think it's her best so far!!! Kate Morton is a fantastic author!!!

I just started Room by Emma Donaghue and I'm not sure what to think of it yet. It's a little strange so far but everyone I know loved it so hopefully it gets better.

I loved the book! It took me a long time to get through it but only due to lack of time. I'm definitely planning on reading some of her other work when I get a chance. I think my favourite part of this book was her incorporation of the fairy tales and how they so clearly connect with the story.

Sigh...The perfect storm is a good book, but I do find it rather boring in spots and I have to confess that my mind seems to wander at these moments.....Apparently I am not interested into sailing and boat type books....BUT it is interesting to know that this storm had the biggest waves in history....I can't even imagine what a 100 foot wave would look like!!! I am glad that I am reading it, but I don't think I will read it again
Restarted Jessica Rules the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey yesterday. I needed something simple and easy to get through for a change.

Just finished reading The House at Midnight by Lucie Whitehouse and I have to say I was quite disappointed with it. I was hopping for a much more interesting mystery and found that I also didn't really enjoy her style of writing. Overall a pretty boring read, rushed through most of it just so I could start something new.
Now I'm reading Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare which I'm sure like all her other books I've read I will enjoy.

Now I'm reading Les Misérables by Victor Hugo and A Winter Book by Tove Jansson. I'm also reading The Croods Movie Novelization with my daughter. I also have about 6 unfinished books waiting for me to get back to them!

I really want to read Les Misérables, but it's size intimidates me lol

I just finished reading Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare. This is the second book in the Infernal Devices series. And yet again Clare definitely does not disappoint. This is the fifth book I've read from her and loved it just as much as the others I've read. I'm looking forward to reading the third book of this series.
Now I've started reading The Luxe by Anna Godbersen. I'm not far enough into it to for an opinion on the book yet.

The size is definitely intimidating! I have read less than 100 pages so far. On the first page I was annoyed that the story didn't start straight off with Jean Valjean, instead the first chapters are devoted to the Bishop of Digne, a minor character. Then I decided that it was quite readable and was enjoying it. Then I hit a couple of boring chapters.... Then finally, Jean Valjean entered the story but it still very slow to get moving! I'm currently reading another book for a challenge, so I keep going back to that, but I don't want to lose the motivation to get through Les Mis. It's going to be slow and sometimes painful I think...

I might eventually try to read that one, but not any time soon I don't think. It does look good, but I'd need time to devote to a book that large. I still have wayyyyyy too many book on my self at home still to read. I'm hoping to finish as many of those this summer as I can.

I just finished reading The Luxe by Anna Godbersen. I found it hard to connect to any of the characters for about the first half of the book which made it a little difficult to get fully into the story. But by about half way through the characters became more developed and I was able to decide on a few of them that I liked and found interesting. I found Diana Holland to be the most intriguing character in the story, and always looked forward to her chapters in the novel. It was definitely a good enough start to a series for me to want to continue reading them. I look forward to seeing what will happen next.
Just started Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I attempted this one when I was in elementary school but found the language too challenging. So I'm going to give it another try now. I look forward to reading it as I love the movie and the era in which the story is set.

I hope you like Pride and Prejudice better this time round Heather. I really liked it when I finally read it in my late 20's :-)
I'm sure I will. I'm three chapters in now and I'm understanding it much better than the last time I picked it up for sure. And I find the writing really great actually. It's nice to read something so sophisticated.

And finishing up these two:

I read that book not too long ago, Heather. Can't wait to hear what you think!

Starting on Sharp Objects next.

How about a short questionnaire? ;)

In my case the answers would be Press reviews and Friends’ opinions. How about you?
