Gwendolyn (drgwen) Sticks head up through trapdoor, looks around, waves at Dee

I thought I heard my ears burning. 'Big' words, eh?

Laughs maniacally, then absconds back down hole with second packet of crisps

Sound of singing echoes up from tunnel...

Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got till it's gone

They paved paradise and put up a parking lot.

Paul Busy day at work on Friday; blocking out and constructing the plot, characters etc for new novel - "Revival" for the mock NaNo...

Hangover cure - hmmm, never actually get hangovers, but, hey, can't hurt right?

drinks bottle of hangover cure; opens packet of crisps and begins munching.

File, new, ScriptSmart Prose, novel, title "Revival",
Chapter One..."

Begins typing...

message 353: by Paul (new)

Paul Right, that's 3,015 words of "Revival" done, and the first three chapters are posted here:

Now to do another 2,000 or so on The Symbiont. Never ends, does it

he asks rhetorically

message 354: by Paul (new)

Paul And 2,252 words on Chapter Twenty-one of The Symbiont.

Gwendolyn (drgwen) Wanders by Pauls Study after returning from church. Looks in, checks word count

Hi Paul;

Wow! You are the lean, mean, writing machine today.

Looks at watch

Have to dash-off a few thousand words myself. Chat with you later.

Gwendolyn (drgwen) wanders by on way out.

Hello Paul;

Good Morning to you, I'm coming down with the flu... so it's off to bed with the Nyquil and a box of tissues.

So if I'm not on tomorrow, you'll know why. I've got to get over this as quickly as I can as I'm off to Boston on Friday morning on business. I'll be gone till late Monday.

Hopefully I'll have time to write in the evenings, but I wanted to get as much done as I can before then.... and now this. Lets hope it's only the 24 hour kind that I usually get.

'Night.

... and have a great and productive day.

Gwen

message 358: by Paul (new)

Paul Hi Gwen,

Hope you get better quickly. It's a pain when you have to do things and your metabolism refuses to co-operate :)

*Dances into Paul's Den, plops down on his big comfy chair*

Ello...Yippers, I am trying out my new and improved English accent, cause I have been in Merlin's world today.

Just climbed back through the ancient portal.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Hello! Be careful about bowing before Gwen... last time she said I had to grovel and mentioned something about whips and something else I was too terrified to recall!

Hey UM,

Come on in and have a seat in Paul's other comfy chair.

Oh, and how do you like my new red boots :]

message 369: by Dee, Fan of the "Young Prose Society" (new)

Dee Marie (dee_marie) | 3382 comments Mod
We got to get Paul in shape, he is such a slacker you know!

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish ROFL on the boots and whips... Gwen had me cowering!

Hey, Dee... Does Tristan know what he is?

And Paul, is your story one of the ones I can read on here?

message 371: by Dee, Fan of the "Young Prose Society" (new)

Dee Marie (dee_marie) | 3382 comments Mod
Hey UM

Yippers, Tristan knows, and I think that Logan suspects. She does have fairy blood remember.

I am going to have to go back and rewrite the part about his parents dying. Geez this is what I mean when I always complain about charcters never giving you their full history.

message 372: by Dee, Fan of the "Young Prose Society" (new)

Dee Marie (dee_marie) | 3382 comments Mod
Oh, I am glad you like the boots. Dyed them blood red. Always wanted a pair of red boots :)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I understand what you mean about that...I had forgotten (if I ever knew) about Logan having fairy blood, but I was going to ask if maybe she had Druid blood in her. Wouldn't that make for interesting offspring?

message 374: by Dee, Fan of the "Young Prose Society" (new)

Dee Marie (dee_marie) | 3382 comments Mod
Oh, most of Paul's stories are posted under his profile. Great work!

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Paul, where are you? We came to keep you company!

message 376: by Dee, Fan of the "Young Prose Society" (new)

Dee Marie (dee_marie) | 3382 comments Mod
Geez, and here I wanted to try my whip out...drat, drat, drat.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Try it out on who?

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I might be persuaded to play whips with Edward *blushes*

message 379: by Dee, Fan of the "Young Prose Society" (new)

Dee Marie (dee_marie) | 3382 comments Mod
Paul of course, cause he is such a writing slacker. I mean he only wrote...Like 10,000 words today {said in my best valley-girl voice}.

*Smacks gum and smiles*

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish LOL You're such a task master!

Hey, when will SOA and AZK will out?

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I KNOW he would! He keeps asking me when the next book is coming out!

Great, I will let him be my test reader if he would like ;]

At least for the first chapter. Of course he has to understand that the story is still raw and needs to go through at least 4 editors. Sigh. I think the editing takes longer than the writing.

*taps the riding crop on Paul's table*

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Awesome, I'll let him know...he really will be thrilled! *hugs Dee*

message 386: by Paul (new)

Paul Yo guys, that obviously works!

I complain once about being ignored, then I get 5000 messages.

Right, it's 00:30 here, and I'm off to bed, slacking off yet again.

Sleep for seventeen hours, then write 25 words.

I wish :)

G'night all,

love ya

Paul

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Night, Paul! Sleep well! *hugs Paul*

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish *whispers* OK, he'll love it and feel special, I know he will.

message 392: by Andrea (new)

Andrea | 620 comments Sorry I missed you during your awake hours. Wanted to say hi, and let you know you're not being ignored :) It's so hard to keep up with everyone here! But I love it! Sweet dreams. Talk to you tomorrow.

Hey thanks Gwen,

*Sits in the big comfy chair and sticks boots in the air to show them off*

They really don't go with my flannel PJ bottoms and raggedy old T-shirt, but damn my feet do look good ;]

OH, and I really, do live in an earth-sheltered Hobbit house!

I will have to dig up a photo. Actually have had deer running on the roof in the winter, and my neighbor's dog jumped off the roof one summer (but that is another long story, for another time).

I am glad you are feeling better.

*Waves hi to Paul*

Ok, must get back to my own cubical and get writing.

*Looks at blank wall*
Shrug, that will do...

*Writes note on wall*

Ok, "writing buddy" here is my March [to date:] write-a-thon word count...Word count to date for our March Write-a-thone:

5203 words for March [which is sucky, but at least its a start:]

Dee Marie

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Hey, Paul! You got moved too. At least you have your own spot now.

Have a wonderful Friday! *hugs*

message 399: by Gwendolyn (new)

Gwendolyn (drgwen) Looks in..

Dang... it's the isolation ward!

Shrugs and leaves a very sharp Excalibur stuck in a lodestone in the middle of the room

Well, at least the blood splatter won't carry too far.

Have a great weekend Paul. See you all sometime Monday.

Julie | 465 comments Hi Paul!

Good morning, or good afternoon for you! I wanted to thank you for the review (From the WWW reviewers workshop - I would have said this there in WWW, but I didn't want it to be considered spam)! I was pleasantly surprised when you gave me so much to consider. You had some wonderful suggestions, and I will consider them while re-working that segment. Thanks again for taking your time to give such a detailed review!

*leaves a pecan pie on the desk, and some Bluebell Ice cream in the freezer - both were really difficult to get past customs!* ;D
