Caro | 177 comments I was wanting to know how many connected books makes a series. I've noticed that some books are considered a series when there are only 2 books, as others have much more. Would it be better to add to the description about a connecting book if there are just two? Or would I go ahead and create a new series for them? I keep wondering about this and if it's necessary for a new series to be 'added' if a book is just connected with one other book? It almost seems like a 'moral' or opinionated question to me. Thanks

A pair of books meant to be read in sequence is a series.

Example: http://www.goodreads.com/series/78207...

Krystal109 | 1086 comments It would be unfair if you had to have a certain number of books to have a series made. As long as there are 2, it can be made a series.

Caro | 177 comments Thanks, I just wanted to be sure. I noticed that sometimes a couple of books are related, but are not considered a series, and others are considered a series.

Just being related doesn't make them a series. Having a sequence, common characters, etc. is usually necessary.

willaful What about books that are unrelated, yet described as a series? For example, http://www.goodreads.com/series/54757...

Krystal109 | 1086 comments Those book are related based on a theme by one author.
