Hi Patrick, I have a book on my profile, Only Human, that I had done as a self publishing project and am trying to get removed (as I re-wrote a new book and it's hopefully going to be published as part of my new series). Could you remove the first book from my author page (Only Human)?

We do not delete published books in the same way a library would not remove a book from there shelves- GR is a book cataloging site.

I understand that and I read the thread, but the book was a failed project and is hopefully going to come out as a part of the series I'm currently publishing. If it cannot be removed, is there any way that you can show it as unavailable?

I have reversed the removal of book data which is considered vandalism as per msg 2 in the thread I linked to.

It is permitted to note in the description that a book is no longer available

I asked for help to remove a book ascribed to me of which I'd never heard. Goodreads was most helpful and it's gone from my list.

Hi. goodreads newbie here. Looks like it's okay to ask for books to be removed from your author list that you did not author. I don't want to modify the other humans name with whitespace to do this. Shall I post the books to remove here or is there a support page I should visit? Couldn't find one that seemed appropriate. thanks!

Kali, are they by an author with the same name as you, or have the first 2 had their publication cancelled, or . . . ?

All three of these unpublished books are by me. Unfortunately, I am no longer publishing these selected books.

Shame. The other two have not been published at all. Not ARCs.

The two that have never been published have been removed.

Hi Martyn,

No problem--I've moved the book to another author's page. It looks like this book was added by an automated publisher feed, These feeds are great for letting us know when new books come out, but they sometimes get confused by authors with the same name. Sorry about that!

I was trying to add my new ebook entitled A Reckoning of Lions and Lambs to my list. I typed the title into the form. It came up with the correct book in the search list. I chose the title on the list, but then it immediately went to another page that added the book into the database again. I thought I had done something wrong, so I tried it again. It did the same thing. I now have this listed three times in the list of books I authored.

First, can you please remove the three entries entitlee A Reckoning of Lions and Lambs. Second, how do I add my new book to my list? Thanks. Roger Jackson

Roger, you are Roger-3space-Jackson , which keeps you and your books separate from the other Roger Jacksons. But it means that when new books of yours import, they have to be moved by a librarian to your profile.
