Stormy :) (Stormy0218) | 1589 comments Hmm, I'm not sure what will happen! I just hope we see more Kai! I really like Thorne but him and Cinder better not hook up.

Shay | 4 comments I think thorne is leaning towards cress, or at least she really seems to like him.

Eileen (eileenreads) ^yeah because he's the "Thorne bush" in the original Repunzul story

Shay | 4 comments It all makes sense now...

Jessi (jessilovesbooks) Just finished this last night. Loved it! I feel like this is one of those series where each book gets better. I really like how the main focus in each book is on the new additions but everyone else is still there. Cress isn't as awesome as Cinder or Scarlet but she's sweet and endearing.

Leslie May (bookworm1300) | 2 comments I finished it last week! it was an amazing book. I can't wait for the fourth book, winter!!

message 14: by E.V. (new) - rated it 5 stars

E.V. Fairfall I finished it last night and loved it!
I think the last 2 chapters were my favorite. Not going to lie, I kind of forgot how adorable Cinder and Kia were until they were in the same room together again. I agree with Jessica, this is totally a series that gets better with every book!

Btw did anyone have an issue figuring out what age Princess Winter was? She referenced not using her lunar powers since age 12... so once I heard that I realized she was probably older but it seemed like she was about 5 years old at first.

Mira (wordnerd99) | 2 comments I finished a couple weeks ago, Marrissa Meyer does not disappoint. I swear I am in love with Captain Thorne, he is so funny and charismatic.

Jessi (jessilovesbooks) EV - Winter's age was confusing for me too. At first she was referred to as a girl, so I would have thought young, like 8 or so. And the way she was acting seemed to line up with that, but then if she hasn't used her gift since 12 and that was likely years ago, I'm guessing probably 16-18 like the other girls. It seems she'll be the main character in the next book (I'm guessing based on the fact that it's titled Winter), so I imagine we'll get more details.

message 17: by Jade (new) - rated it 3 stars

Jade (jade93) Want to read this!!!!!!!! love Cinder & Kai!!!!!

message 18: by E.V. (new) - rated it 5 stars

E.V. Fairfall Jessica - I'm glad I wasn't the only one :P

What fairytale is she following for Winter? ... Nevermind, I just looked it up and I guess she is Snow White.

Aubrie (aubbriee) I really loved how they introduced Winter. She seems whimsical/crazy in a child like way.I really liked Cress & Iko they were very funny in this book. In the last chapters Cinder and Kai were just adorable. I Can't wait till Winter comes out.

message 20: by E.V. (new) - rated it 5 stars

E.V. Fairfall Aubrie- I agree, it was a really nice way to bring Winter into the book and make everyone want book 4 - I saw that the release is 2015 and I died a little :(

message 21: by Mary (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mary Lowry (mlowry57) | 20 comments I really enjoy how the author has created this new, fresh, story using fond fairy tale characters from childhood. She pulls me in just begging to know how Winter will be incorporated into the story. Can't wait!

Jenni (jennilind) Loved this book. I somehow went into it thinking it was the end of the series though (not sure how!) so I was pleasantly surprised to see that wasn't the case!

Sabrina (brinasbooks) I can't wait for winter to come out!!! I hope the new character is snow white. That would b pretty awesome.

message 24: by a (new) - rated it 5 stars

a k (complxus) I loved it. The whole series is amazing!! The moment Winter comes out, I think I might die of happiness.

Rachel Did it bug anyone else that Cress's hair kept getting caught in the wheels of her chair? If she's orbiting Earth from space, wouldn't she live in micro-gravity?

Has everyone read the other books in the series? Do you think I should read the first two books before reading this one?

You absolutely should. It's all connected, you'll miss a lot.

Rachel Lily, Thanks! I've loaded Cinder onto my kindle and will read it next!

Rachelle (mamachelle07) | 91 comments I have never been much of a Si-Fi fan. The whole idea of space and ships and such is such a bore to me. However I watched the "Once Upon a Time" TV series and loved the way all the different fairy tales got mixed together. So I decided to give this series a chance, only because of the fairy tales. I actually really like the series now, especially the more Si-Fi aspects! I've decided I need an Iko in my life. :) Having someone like her around would never allow for things to get boring!

Alicia I love this series and I started reading it as well because I love Once Upon A Time. I love seeing how other people create new fairy tales based on the fairy tales I grew up with. I love Cinder and Kai, Cress and Thorne are okay but my favorite is scarlet and Wolf. I can't wait to find out what happens with Winter and super excited to see how she works with Snow White, it's my favorite :)

message 30: by Priya (new)

Priya | 50 comments Thorne and Cress are officially one of my all-time favorite couples. I've always liked battle scene kisses. But the fact that Dr. Erland was (SPOILER!) Cress's dad was kind of predictable. Still, it's probably my favorite yet. Is the prequel coming out before Winter?I really can't wait much longer.

As there seems to be technology to provide gravity effects, and think that won't happen. Even Thorne's ship had artificial gravity.

I kinda guessed Thorne would be with cress from scarlet, and I also guessed he would become blimd in some way. Why?

Because the tale, rapunzel's prince falls from the tower and lands in a bed of thorns, therefore blinding him. Rapunzel's tears are the only one thing which cure him.

But I felt their relationship was a bit...fake?
THANK goodness the author didn't rush it, because it would have been unrealistic then.

Adita ✨The Slumbering Insomniac✨ (aditaprithika) | 15 comments Thorne and Cress are my favorite. Thorne falls for Cress only slowly, and only in Winter does their romance unfold beautifully. I think I am in love with Captain Thorne. ♥♥
