Maria (mariagibbs) | 2 comments Hi there, I am a new member and also a recent Kindle convert. I would like to know other peoples opinions on the merits of reading Kindle books / real paper books. At the moment I read both as I have loads of 'real' books in my 'waiting to be read' cupboard and stare guiltily at them then bypass them totaly and pick up my eaily portable kindle which has 175 books on it at the moment.Does anyone else get this guilt complex as well.

Maria (mariagibbs) | 2 comments Another plus with the Kindle is the number of free books I have got on it. In fact I have only got 8 books on it that I have paid for. I know that when I actually get round to reading them I might find that most of my 'freebie' books are rubbish, but then I will not feel guilty about deleting them. I am also an avid reader of 'Fan Fiction' (please don't judge me) and I find that the kindle is the easiest way to read this as well. That said I am reading an actual paperback at the moment.

Meaghan R. (YA-aholic) (caligalla) | 3 comments true, the free books are awesome. some are classics that i've been wanting to read, but never got around to shelling out the money to pay for them. some are the companion novels to series that i read (which are only available in e-format, most are $1 though), and some are books that i've seen here, from the giveaways that looked really interesting! my only problem with the apple bookstore, is that they've lumped children in with teens, so until i start reading, i'm not sure if it's ya, mg, or little kids (some are easy to figure out, others, not until you open it) i also wish that there were subcategories for the teen section...

Meaghan R. (YA-aholic) (caligalla) | 3 comments also, a lot of the books i'm interested in are the same price, ebook and print, and for full price, i'd rather have the print version...

Nichole Johnston (vixen29) | 1 comments Love all my books. Love the convenience of my kindle and the free books. I do sometimes feel guilty about not showing enough love to my books in print. I just switch back in forth. I purchased all the hunger games because I wanted to own them in print..maybe share them with my now one year old when she is older.

Latosha (latosha20) | 2 comments A real book. The way the feel and smell are amazing! It pretty cool to think of all of the people that have read the same book as you if you are renting them from the library. I have a nook so maybe if I had the kindle fire I would change my mind :)

Peter Hudson | 1 comments What if you could have both? eReaders are great for when you're travelling or commuting. But paper books have a nicer experience (as long as you don't have to carry them around).

I'm part of a start-up company called eYourBooks that allows you to get a discounted (or sometimes free) eBook by using our smartphone App to validate that you own the real book.

I'm curious if the option of "both" changes anybody's opinion of eBook vs. Real book?
