Ashton (sundogs) | 18 comments It's a single short-story that accompanied some sort of CD, not sure what exactly. The title is 漂舶, Hyouhaku (Drifting Ship in English but it hasn't been translated.) I tried to find it on WorldCat with no luck.

It's one of three separete short-stories that go along with the Twelve Kingdoms series by Fuyumi Ono, but the other two were published in magazines and don't think that counts here.

This is the Japanese Amazon page of the CD it came with, and, I dunno if this helps but this is the cover of Hyouhaku.

Hope someone can add this please?

Krystal109 | 1086 comments I'll look into this later if no one else has since I know about Japanese stuff pretty well and I know the Twelve Kingdoms series.

Vicky (librovert) | 2462 comments It looks to me (via the link to the Amazon.jp) that the CD is a dramatization of the manga. I suspect the booklet was included as a supplementary piece to the set - I'm not sure if this would necessarily qualify for addition to the database.

Ashton (sundogs) | 18 comments I think the CD is a dramatization of the third Twelve Kingdoms book, not sure though.

Most stort-stories come in anthologies or as a little addition at the end of a larger book, but this isn't part of another book, nor is it a read-along or guide. It's simply a short-story by the author that comes exclusively with the adaptation of one of her other works.

Seems like it should qualify to me... I just want to add it to my shelves

{Edit}
I feel like I must be a crazy obsessed person for causing problems over this series again...

Krystal109 | 1086 comments LOL Aly. I was thinking the same thing about myself.

I think it was as well. As far as I know. These are allowed. I remember running across the same issue for a BBC Radio dramatization of the Gormenghast books.

Ashton (sundogs) | 18 comments If it is allowed then could someone else add it? Pretty please? I'm having problems with trying to add it and I don't want to mess anything up.
Sorry for the delay getting back here.

Krystal109 | 1086 comments I will double check the info and find out exactly what it is before I add it.

Ashton (sundogs) | 18 comments That's probably best, thank you.

Krystal109 | 1086 comments Yea it looks like it is an audiobook of the third book 東の海神 西の滄海. It also has a recording of 漂舶, Hyouhaku and contains the story in print form as well.

Found more info on a non-bookseller site to get the info from. Also wikipedia says this: "One short story, Drifting Ship (漂舶 Hyouhaku), published in 1997, accompanied the drama CD for Higashi no Watatsumi, Nishi no Sōkai"

Edit: Added here
