Looks like our next book will be Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier; Which I adore. We will be starting reading this book in October so you have time to get a copy of this book if needed.

I recently read it for other book club and this is was my first book by this writer and I really fall in love in style in intrigue setting of books by Daphne Du Maurier . I also watched two movies (1940, 1997) but still book is better hold you scared and intrigued then movies. I read several more novels and stories by Daphne Du Maurier and always enjoy by her writing style, it so romantic and at the same time very modern.

Just got my copy of Rebecca. Looking forward to re-reading this classic novel. I know we all say it but seriously "too many books, too little time!!!"

Just realised that I have to return my copy of Rebecca on Monday as someone's reserved it so I've started reading it and although this is the second time round, it's got me hooked....again!!!

Just finished Rebecca and all I can say is wow!!! Once again it didn't fail to satisfy.Very valid reasons why this book is a classic and still so popular.

Library actually had copy of Rebecca AND In The Woods available for me to pick up this weekend! Now I just have to decide which to read first. Hmmm.

I've just started reading Rebecca. I'm only 50pages in but I can already tell that I'm hooked and can't wait to get home to read more (currently at work).

The writing is simply superb; it's dark & mysterious from the very first chapter. It reminds me a little of Carlos Ruiz Zafón books/writing...do you think?

I think the gothic elements of Carlos Ruiz Zafón's books must be inspired by Daphne du Maurier's writing style.

No I don't Mish, it's absolutely years since I read it...so it'll be like a new read for me I think. From all the comments, I know I must read it again though!

I've just finished. A reread for me also. Loved it. Hoping to find some time to rewatch the movie also.
