We're also getting the "Kindle Owner's Lending Library."

FINALLY!

Alexis | 1 comments I want one! I have the Kindle Touch, bought it about a month ago... my husband kind of wants a Kindle so I'm considering getting a Paperwhite and giving him my Touch. I don't want to wait a month though... waaaahhh

Keidy | 525 comments I've been thinking of getting an e-reader for a long time now. It would certainly lighten my load especially since I usually like to buy hardcover books (they last longer). I'm really interested in getting the Kindle Paperwhite, but seeing as any kind of tech that comes out usually has a lot of problems before sorting it all out a month or two later, I'll probably hold off getting it until maybe after the holidays. It seems like my worries are correct as the reviews come streaming in, but I'm sure most of those problems will be fixed at some point. I have enough actual books to tide me over so it's not that I'm in a major rush to get one. I'm hoping there will be some kind of deal or sale during or after the holidays though. Fingers crossed. ^_^

Hey I'd take a look at this review: http://www.hanselman.com/blog/AmazonK...
and then look online for the older ones, unless, you know, you read a lot at night in buses or planes and don't have a night lamp at home.

I just saw the regular kindle for about 39 in a daily deal page a few days ago.. so you might find it at a really good price if you look around.

I decided to get the non touch previous generation (before kindle paperwhites).. I'm a VERY geek/techie person.. but I had to resist the temptation of MOAR FEATURES because seriously, I didn't need the touch, and I'm pretty happy with the button based solution :)

library_jim | 212 comments I know Veronica pre-ordered one and presumably has it now. Has she said anywhere if she likes it compared to other models? Has she tried the "whispersynch" thingee? Just curious to get her take on it.

(I know I said I'd wait for Xmas, but I mentioned this to my lovely bride and she went ahead and ordered it for me. I've been counting the days. One more week to wait...)

So the new Kindle Voyage is out. I have a 1st generation nook and it's working just fine. But with the built-in night light and now 300 dpi resolution that new Kindle looks tempting. Anyone using it yet? Maybe it's time to upgrade?
