so i bought 'Before I Fall' and started it. odd genre for a 65 year old guy, but so far so good and i'll shoot a review when i'm done. actually, i like watching Hallmark channel with my wife, so maybe not so strange?!
and i've read some YA. of course, Hunger Games (Everdeen one of the great characters ever), and His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman (a must for a fantasy writer like me); classics for any audience. also, Tales of the Madman Underground by John Barnes (my editor). just plain brilliant.
if you want to read YA (unintended) by a Boomer (me), check out "Betelgeuse' on my website under Short Stories. BUT READ 'I Married a Butterfly' FIRST! it'll give you 'kids' some perspective on what it was like to be in Junior High in 1963.

cool site. always good to add to the roster of used/rare book dealers. my wife bought me Grant's Autobiography a couple of years ago from a dealer in NJ, and it's nice to know go-to places for out of print books.
BTW, hard to believe Grant's 'Auto..' is out of print. biggest advance in American history to that point and it's an awesome read! the General is clear, direct and funny. must read if you can get your mitts on a copy.

Hey. My name is Kate and just like the title says, I wrote From Boardroom to Blackbox when I had downtime at my old tech job. At night, I was doing local shows and learning the ropes about acting. Even though I finished an intense acting course [Meisner trained], I had no idea what theater was about; I was one of the oldest and the only one who didn’t go to college for it. As a project manager, I saw a lot of problems with the theatrical production process, how budgets were handled and eavesdropped on my fellow actors as they complained about not landing gigs. Since my background was Fortune 500, I wanted to write a book for them that mixed my tech experience and with their acting/production knowledge.
To put the book to the test, I quit my job and became a working Voice Actor for various companies, video games and television shows. When I’m not doing gigs,I’m writing sci-fi and naughty things that will be published in the near future. Shameless plug for my website!
Honestly, I’m not a self publishing guru; I made a lot of mistakes promoting it years ago, so I wanted to try again and get proper feedback. I’m learning as I go, but that’s what success is, right?
