For this question of the week, I'm going to ask you to tell us what appeals to you about autumn, since this is the second day of fall. If you can think of 5-10 things you enjoy about the fall season, you can list them, or just a general post that sums up your feelings about this season.

Well, because of my allergies that are worst in the fall, autumn is not something I look forward to. But

1. The beauty of the changing leaves
2. The cooler temperature
3. Getting ready for the holidays coming
4. School events/football games/cheering our team
5. Lower electric bills

1. Rosh Hoshannah
2. Yom Kippur
3. Sukkot
4. Halloween
5. Thanksgiving
6. The gorgeous colors
7. The crisp air and the way that it smells.
8. The sweaters and coats that you can wear.
9. You finally have a reason to use a fireplace.
10. Spooky reading!

Of course, I live in San Diego these days and now there's very little of that in my autumns.

1. Cooler weather
2. Leaves changing color
3. Pumpkins!!--mmm pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread
4. Cider Mill opens-I love the doughnuts :)
5. I usually start crocheting/knitting things for winter
6. Winter is coming!!

3. Comfort foods
4. Flannel sheets
5. Fires in the fireplace
6. Family gatherings

Being under the duvet when it's raining outside (rained all night last night - obviously not looking forward to going out in it later!)
The colours
Making soups
My snuggy
Going to bed early and being warm and comfy in bed with a book

How did I forget all things pumpkin???

Loving the lists, everyone. I will post mine when I get a chance tonight.

3. Being able to wear sweaters and heavier fabrics
4. I like the feel of the autumn months. Cozy and traditional.
5. The autumn holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving.
6. November and December.
7. Autumn colors-beautiful changes in leaves and trees.
8. Hot weather is over
9. Fall TV season

The weather. It finally starts to cool off here and you can go outside without feeling like you are dying from heat stroke. Also, I love that it kicks off the holiday season with halloween and thanksgiving.

Man, I forgot to list Fall TV season! Also love Thanksgiving and it's food. LOVE LOVE LOVE pecan pie!

You'd think I'd get tired of pumpkin flavored stuff. I usually don't. Looking forward to Pumpkin Smoothies at Jamba Juice!

And Caramel Apples. Yum!

1.the V's overhead of the geese flying south
2.smell of smoke in the air as small piles of leaves burn
3. everything turns black or gold or orange leaves, pumpkins, bodies of water
4. Clear blue skies for the most part
5. streets and yards are quiet because kids back in school (Love the kids but also love stillness)
6. the last thunder storms of the year (miss them over winter)
7. homemade soup, summer salads seem to change magically into soups in the fall.
8. earlier sunsets and later sunrises
9. Harvest time and golden Harvest moon
10. apples apples everywhere.

Me either, I love pumpkin! I don't have a Jamba Juice nearby :(

Do you have any other smoothie shops nearby, Tammy? I'm sure they will offer a Pumpkin smoothie. I think that Starbucks has some pumpkin drinks too.

Sunny, I eat more apples in the fall than any other time. They are fall fruit to me!
