Tim | 2 comments Just finished A Moveable Feast and wanted to hear people's opinions on Hemingway as a memoirist? His tone is completely different if you ask me and it's a little relieving to read him write so relaxed and carefree.

Thoughts?

I totally agree Tim. Yes, I like most of Papa's books, but this one did feel more relaxed, while remembering his days in Paris.....a relaxed place to be.

You might enjoy Paula McClain's book THE PARIS WIFE, written from Hadley's point of view of what went on in Paris. I was quite surprised on how much I enjoyed it.!

William Green | 1 comments I think this is one of my favorites of Hemingway,I find some of the other negative reviews perplexing.Research the facts of how this book was started and how it was done in his last days before his death, maybe that was some of the reasons he didnt paint very flattering pictures of all his brilliant friends at that time,I think that was off putting to some people but maybe that had something to do with his state of mind at that time.Other than that I think he captured the time of being a starving artist in a beautiful inspiring city of Paris.Ive read it three times and I'm still bummed out when I turn the last page
