Hey Kathryn--I'd love to read 1Q84 with you and Holly. I just got a bit of a head start because it's so long, and Ill probably read something else along with it.
Terri if you wanna read it with them you can go to the events and respond that way. There will be a discussion thread opened for it as well.

Me, too.
I'm only on page 72 and I'm already unnerved!

Yes Terri, we'd love to have you join in!

Good, I am glad it's a favorite of yours, as well.

I think all of SK's work is on my favorites list lol. It's so hard for me to pick only one when it comes to his work, you know?

Yes, I am the exact same way when it comes to King!
Ok getting ready to tear into the pages of IT! Woot! Kathryn, how are you doing on Carrion Comfort?

I'm so behind...Too many distractions..haha. I'm sure you know how that is!

I didn't know there was one. i'll have to check into it.

Heh thats because it is a different one, so sorry about that. LOL The Unseen books I read are by Richie Tankersley Cusick. Also very good.
I am almost done re reading The perks of being a wallflower? have any one read that?

I've had that one on my TBR for many years and have yet to get to it... :o

Is that supposed to be scary?

It is. If you never saw the movie, starring Mia Farrow; then you both are in for a treat. I have never read the book and hopefully it will be even better. Only thing is, anything that has to do with evil; i.e. The devil, a la Exorcist; i get really freaked out. I may end up sleeping with the light on... :O

LOL I never got myself comfortable enough to watch the movie. But if I find this book, then maybe afterwards I will watch. I know what you mean about movies with devil, exorcism and the like. I had nightmares when I watched the Exorcist years ago.

Just started Dearie: The Remarkable Life of Julia Child. Also reading a memoir by Paul Auster, Winter Journal. And a cookbook, The Meatball Shop Cookbook. Still working on 1Q84--reading very slowly since buddy read doesn't start till 11/01.

LOL Chuck is that a good Laymon or a bad?
Reading Edgewise, almost done because I got the date wrong. Thought the yesterday was the 5th. Not really sure why. LOL But very good, as good as I remember it!

I love Laymon. After reading Island, I went and got almost all of his books. I started The Traveling Vampire Show last night. His writing ..."
Chuck The Traveling Vampire show is one of my favorites! I love Laymon myself! I like most of his books except for Bite that one was pretty dumb.
