No, I read correspondence, media articles, government publications. I have a salaried position with a local legislator, in which I provide political and legal guidance "pro bono" (I get paid, but not by the constituent). It's a job I'm very passionate about :) and it's 9 to 5, so I get to read books in my down time!

Im reading a book with paper and letters i love it <3
I'm listening to an audiobook of the confirmation hearing of Sonia Sotomayor (before she was confirmed as a Supreme Court justice in 2009) and I'm reading February by Lisa Moore.

how are you liking it? or them
I'm enjoying the audiobook very much. In my country (Canada) we don't hold confirmation hearings, so the comparison with the US experience is fascinating.
And February is just beautiful. It's a fictional account of the aftermath of a real-life disaster at sea.

they say its really sad, february that is.
It's quite the circus, and the questions she was asked sometimes seemed very rude. I found that jarring.
February IS very sad, but I tend to like sad books (!) so I'm coping.

I myself don't do too well with sad books. i'm mainly an escapist reader even though i've been warned that cloud atlas which is what i'm reading gets sad in the end

I'm reading Lost and Found by Amy Shojai. My throat is very dry and slightly sore today :( but I suppose it means that I have lots of reading time.

I'm reading a book called Love Saves the Day by Gwen Cooper. Most of the chapters are a view point from the cat Prudence and I love it so far.

Yeah and as I have never spent a second of my life without at least one cat I know for a fact that Prudence's point of views are quite accurate :D

I just finished Life of Pi (would not recommend) and I'm currently working on Game of Thrones and Beautiful Creatures. I just started Beautiful creatures.
I like both a lot, I'm about 1/3 into Game of Thrones

Life of Pi is amazing! Right now I'm reading The Weed That Strings the Hangman's Bag by Alan Bradley. I was drawn to the title, hehe.
