YA Buddy Readers' Corner ♥ discussion

I believe most of us here have read books that are part of a series and some of us have reread books before the next one (specially, the finale) comes out... just to refresh our memories. This is one of the purpose of the Series Read Along. The good thing about SRA is that you won't have to read or reread a series alone! It's like buddy reading but you'll be reading a series instead of a single book...it usually takes longer for SRA to end than buddy reads specially when there are so many books in the series.

I've read the first and second book from the Hush Hush series. But I stopped, so maybe this is a good time for me to continue reading it. I'll join reading the third and fourth book.

Beautiful creatures movie will be out next year, so I'm thinking of reading it too. :)

It seems to me that a few of us had decided to begin the series but I don't remember who or when. LOL Anyway that is my pick!

We did. I'd like to start this week so we can do one a week and be done with books 1-3 by the time 4 comes out. What do you guys think? Can you start on the first?

I agree. Or series where the last book will be out before the buddy read ends, like we're doing with Hush, Hush :)

I've read the first book a few monthes ago and it was awesome.

I recommend the Demon Trappers series. FInished it this week and loved it!

Oh man! I want to read those soooo bad, but I have so much else to read for the contests! I wish I could join you for this one, but I'll have to settle for joining the discussion after I get the chance to read them :(

I will not be joining for this buddy read either. :o( I have far too many books on my TBR NOW shelf!

That's alright guys... just join in when you can. I can totally relate with having too many books in my TBR list and it keeps getting longer.

Maybe you can get it from the library. That's what I was planning to do, I don't have it yet either. I can wait to start it if you want to get the book.

Oh you don't have to wait that long. My library is way behind. I don't know when I'll order again, and it takes a month to get here..

I was going to make a thread for Obsidian. When do you think you could start?

Question for mods: Is it ok to start a thread for a series that isn't finished yet then? I thought you said before to wait until the series is finished before starting a series thread? Just wondering because I've read Obsidian and it's awesome and I would read the second one as part of the series read, but books 3 and 4 aren't out yet.

I asked Jona and Angel about it (still waiting for their replies), for me though, i think you can. I love this series too and Book 3 will be out on December 11! Yay!!! If you start reading the series now, including the extras and the novella, we can all use the Lux SRA thread for the discussion once Opal is out!

I don't mind since I also like this series and will be looking forward to the books to come... =)

I'm interested in reading the Caster Chronicles! I just saw that book 4 is now available, I looked up book 1 and I find the story interesting. Do you still want to read this?

I do! I was holding off starting Obsidian, but if you want to make a thread I will start reading it.
