Lynne Stringer I certainly am! I am a fan of a few sci-fi things.

Jocelyn (joc113) | 265 comments Hey, me too! Y'all have good taste. ;)

message 103: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments My key chain says Police Box...=)

message 104: by Jocelyn (new)

Jocelyn (joc113) | 265 comments That is so awesome. You are my new best friend. ;)

message 105: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments =)

message 106: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments I knew it would be true-zilch for writing done this weekend-I love the little ones, but you would think it was their sole mission to thwart writing LOL

message 107: by Jocelyn (new)

Jocelyn (joc113) | 265 comments I haven't been able to do homework much, so I know how you feel.

I guess that's not true, though. I just haven't been able to do as much homework as I wish I'd been able to do. I've been working on it whenever possible.

message 108: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer Yes, I've been thinking of writing again, but between working two part time jobs, running an editing business, promoting my new novel, organising the book launch for book two in my trilogy, and looking after my family, I haven't had time!

message 109: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments Wow Lynne-I would say not! I need to check out your books ! =)

message 110: by Olivia (new)

Olivia You guys! I'm joining a creative writing club at school and I have to submit a story by the 23! For some reason I'm thinking death. Anything?

message 111: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer Do you have a specific idea in mind Olivia?

message 112: by Olivia (new)

Olivia Not anything specific at all.

message 113: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer Keep tossing ideas around. Something will come to the fore.

message 114: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments Oh garrrrrr, I have had ZERO time to write this week and next week will be worse...ugh! Between running my own handmade online business, filling orders, trying to write a book, and having Fibromyalgia (and my in-laws taking over at my house next week)......

message 115: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer Sometimes Real Life crowds it out, doesn't it? I have the start of an idea, but it's not fully developed yet. I'm waiting to see what comes of it.

message 116: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments I'm reading youbook next Lynne! =) If I ever make it through my current one right now-I haven't had time for that either!

message 117: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer I hope you enjoy it, Rachel.

message 118: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments I'm really looking forward to it.

message 119: by Olivia (new)

Olivia Just to be clear, I can create a topic for my writing in the Critique my Writing thread, right?

message 120: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments Yes =)

message 121: by Olivia (new)

Olivia Coolio c:

message 122: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments Just throwing out a hello to everyone. We have company this week so I'm missing my writing, and our writing convo's =)

message 123: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer Hi there! I've been busy getting our house carpeted the last two days, but today I'm going to someone else's book signing.

message 124: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments That sounds like so much fun!!! =) I actually managed to squeeze in a tiny bit of writing today! =)

message 125: by Olivia (new)

Olivia I didn't :/

message 126: by Olivia (new)

Olivia Ooh! But there is now a creatove writing club at my school (we are the INKLINGS!)!!!

message 127: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer Cool. That's great.

message 128: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments I just go through these stages where I feel like I have no clue what I'm doing because I've never pushed myself to really write before and do the work that you need to put in, and then other times I'll have a great brainstorming session and feel all fired up and want to get in there and write.

message 129: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer Yes, that sounds pretty normal to me!

message 130: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments Yay, I'm not a freak! LOL It's a huge roller coaster. I have the last half of the book totally worked out, but rigth now it's just getting there and moving it forward. I would say I'm too meticulous for novella writting, but the thought of writing a full lnegth novel makes me want to pass out! =)

message 131: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer Just take it a step at a time.

message 132: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments =) Thanks Lynne-just nice to have someone to chat with about it that understands! =)

message 133: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer I'm here to help. :-)

message 134: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments BTW Lynne-I totally enjoyed your book. =) I would love to chat sometime about how you came up with your cover art and everything =)

message 135: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer The cover art was a bit difficult! There was lots of to-ing and fro-ing, although I think book two's was a bit harder. Book three's was easy. We'd finalised that before we'd decided on the cover for book two!

message 136: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments How soon before book 2 comes out?

message 137: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer The book launch is on 26th October. The official launch date is 1st November. We're having trouble getting the kindle version up at the moment, but hopefully it will be up there by that date. There are hard copies available for pre-order at Amazon now or you can go here if you want to order a hard copy directly from us, and I will autograph it for you. Click on the cover on this page:

message 138: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments Oh how cool! I may just have to do that! I imagine the publishing process is crazy. I hope to be there someday...

message 139: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer It is completely and utterly insane and the hard work only increases with each step.

message 140: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments I'm sure that first moment when you've found out your book has been bought is amazing though...before all of the craziness piles on. =)

message 141: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer Yes, it's good. It's also good when you get a positive review from someone you've never met who purchased your book. :-)

message 142: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments I can only imagine! =)

message 143: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments Is it bad that I want to share what I'm writing with you guys but I'm not sure if I can handle it if no one likes it? Having one of those-what the hell and I doing days...

message 144: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer No, that's quite normal.

message 145: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) I'm sure we'll all love it! ^w^

message 146: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments Reading Neil Gaimen currently doesn't help my state of mind! LOL His writing is like effortless magic

message 147: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments Ahhhhhhh, writting the first pivital scene in my book this morning! =)

message 148: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments Book related I swear, anyone know if they sell peanut butter in England?

message 149: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer Yes, they do.

message 150: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Polen | 115 comments Awesome! Thanks!
