I tend to read/listen pretty constantly but I do have spells where I take a break from the internet... not sure if I just get overloaded or if it's because other things get in the way - but - GR is always here and I always feel I can just jump back into the discussions. Nice place :)
You might enjoy David Rosenfelt's Andy Carpenter series if you like odd humour. I find myself getting a chuckle from them.

If you like quirky characters in a mystery, you might enjoy Photo Finish.

Welcome!
Terry

I have published some small press fantasy, horror and science fiction, and am working on a historical crime novel at the moment.
Authors I enjoy include Arthur Conan Doyle, Poe, John D. MacDonald, Rex Stout, Ellery Queen, Ross MacDonald, Dashiell Hammett and Raymond Chandler.

I seem to be drawn more towards the "classic" detective type of novels. I like oddball characters with a touch of humor and am a particular fan of Elmore Leonard, Lawrence Block, Donald E. Westlake and all types of short stories.
Not sure how active I'll be in discussions but I'm looking forward to some great, good and debatable recommendations from members of the group.
