Drew Schwarz There are parts of this book that are really incredible, and then other sections are total shit - as long as you skip around, this is one of the most highly recommended books I could read

Cagne What are the total shit parts in your opinion?

I loved this book. My favorite from Palahniuk.

Oh well, opinions...

Emilie It was a very interesting novel. I loved how Palahniuk played around with the concept of suicide. My copy is filled with post-its where I have found meaningful passages. However, I did prefer the first half of the novel. I found it more engaging, probably due to the character analysis. Overall, it was an enticing read.

Justine Muller This is the first palahniuk book I read seven years ago.. I now have every book he's written.. I thought survivor was grossly engaging I couldn't put it down! I love the style he writes with.

Adam This is right up there as one of my favorites by Palahniuk.

Daren i had to read this a second time about 5 years later before i appreciated it. i think i might have been caught up at the time in how much i loved Choke, Invisible Monsters and Fight Club... a second read did not however heighten my appreciation of lullaby or haunted... they were both still horrible

Tyler I thought the first half was vastly better, the second half was terribly mediocre. I liked Choke a lot more.

for sure, one of those books that stays with you

Coy Kirby you really wanna read a book that puts this book to shame as far as incredible goes. Read THE WASP FACTORY.. one of the most harsh books and mentally warping things ive read. It puts even HAUNTED by chuck to shame. Its rough.

David well *i* liked it - it's prolly my favorite Pahlinuk, but i like Choke also

I agree with you, Coy. The Wasp Factory really is one of a kind, a sickly amazing ride, not for the faint of heart.

Ryan Heward I really liked Survivor. Much like Fight Club this book will stay with me for a while. I do see why Chuck is such a polarizing author though.

Mason Thomas Survivor has been my favorite Palahniuk book so far. I read it and reread it in the same week. I never thought there were any lulls in the story or any sections of lessor writing.

Cara Survivor is my favourite Palahniuk book too, though I've only read his first five books so far. The ending gave me chills. And then finding Chuck's explanation of the ending was just fantastic. I think my least favourite part of the book though would have to be the part where he's climbing the stairmaster or whatever it is. And I'd probably agree that the first half is better than the 'on the road' portion.
