Vilma (vaalkyrjaa) | 26 comments Hi,

when looking at Mircea Cărtărescu profile it appears the same series is twice there

http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...

http://www.goodreads.com/series/60640...

http://www.goodreads.com/series/69568...

It looks a bit odd. The first book Orbitor says the edition language is French but the description is in Swedish, which looks like to be on default. And an old one it is at it says the third part still needs to be published, which already happened in 2007.

For part #2 und #3 the description is in the original Romanian. So a bit of a mix up of different things. Maybe somebody can fix all these issues.

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments It looks like the series was created twice; I'm not sure why no one noticed that before, but I've removed the second one.

For the description, there doesn't seem to be a French description available for this book. We'd prefer a French (edition language) or English (website language) or Romanian (original edition language) description -- do you have one? I've changed the default Swedish language description to remove the date-specific and translation-specific portions, though.

Vilma (vaalkyrjaa) | 26 comments Thanks Cait, I didnt look for descriptions in any languages outside of GR before but should be possible to find ones in the proper languages. I´ll be on the haunt then. I´ll come back to it later.

What about the different (language) editions within the series? Does this make sense if #1 is in fact a French edition while part #2 and #3 are Romanian ones?

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments Series go by books, not by particular editions; the one you see first in the series listing is the most popular edition, the way it is in the other places like on the author's page, but the series is shown on all editions of the book.

Vilma (vaalkyrjaa) | 26 comments OK, thanks for the explaination.

Vilma (vaalkyrjaa) | 26 comments I cant find a description in French either. Not even the publisher Gallimard does have one at their website. But I have messaged someone who I know has read the French edition, maybe she does still have the book (if it wasnt a library loan) and can help out.

For an English description: the #1 in the series wont be published/translated until December 2014 by Archipelago Books and they have right now zero information about it online.

I havent looked at the other books but I suspect they might need some serious haul over too.

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments Thanks! I've set the default description to the Romanian one now. (And added that Romanian edition from the Humanitas site, since it wasn't one of the editions already listed!)

Vilma (vaalkyrjaa) | 26 comments Here is # 1 of the Dutch edition

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/80...

Link to the publisher is on the page anyway but here you go: http://www.debezigebij.nl/web/Boek-5....

That should be/will be the English edition
