Reunion, Brenda, draws on my time working for Reuters in Indonesia, where I met my wife, and later when I was in East Timor to interview Fretilin leaders, as a New York Times correspondent, shortly before four Australian journalists were shot dead by invading Indonesian troops near Balibo. I was later glad that I left before waiting for the Indonesians to arrive.
