I tend to Google the Anonymous quotes to see they are actually by someone known. There have been a few Anons which were from real, notable people with books.

So, to clarify:
Movie quotes without a book with a similar quote — delete.
User quotes — delete.
Anonymous quotes without attribution (after a search to see if they could be attributed) — delete.
What about proverbs like this one?

In this case I would REPLACE the movie quote with the book quote.

Yeah, if the words Goodreads Staff is anywhere near anything, I leave it alone.
Edit: Is there any way to easily see if a quote is the QotD? I noticed that the QotD list goes back a little while...
The edit log will usually have Kara in it somewhere if it's a QoTD, but I don't see anything more obvious.

No. But they must be from a notable source, which by Goodreads definitions includes all authors with books on Goodreads.
