The Mark of Athena discussion

Okay you guys.... Please do not say anything about what happens in the story because I have not read it yet and I want to! So if you've finished the book can you tell me, is this the last book in the Heroes of Olympus? Or is there going to be another one?

There is so going to be another one, don't worry. Although waiting that long will suck.

Call me crazy, but I was kind of hoping this would be the last one.... When is the next one coming out?

The next one (The House of Hades) will come out next year (in October probably)

There will be one more after that one. Rick said it will be a five book series like Percy Jackson.

Yeah I was told that there would be five. Just reading the description of Mark of Athena it sounded pretty the end-ish to me, I guess. Thanks!

There are going to be two more books before the end of Heroes of Olympus. But Rick is seriously considering doing a cross over with the Kane Chronicles. Before he said no he wouldn't but during his book tour he's been asking fans (who over whelmingly said yes) and now he says he'll see if he can come up with a good enough idea that would combine the two series.

He sort of did that already, a little. In the Kane Chronicles, he said a couple of times how "New York has it's own problems" and "other magic in Manhattan" and how Carter thinks he sees a pegasus in the sky, and how Drew and Lacey from the Aphrodite cabin go to Sadie's school.
