Pat () | -245 comments I got a Clover Amour crochet hook it arrived this morning. I love it. It has a soft pad for finger hold. I used to tape the end of my finger as after awhile the hook pressed on the side of my nail. No longer, OK it cost 5.50 from Amazon free post it is so worth it for me. Yay!

Lynne (Tigger's Mum) | 4643 comments I saw some lovely fancy knitting needles and had a fit when I saw the price! I've got crochet callouses Pat, but so many hooks in all sizes and some old bone ones from Grandma's but if I was doing something big I might well treat myself.

Emma Faragher | 301 comments I made a dress for my friend! If I could figure out how I'd put pics up. I was my first foray into jersey fabric and the first time I'd made something for someone else (except robes for going to see Harry potter and a skirt for a Velma costume). It only took a few hours and it looks pretty good. Fitted, knee length, sleeveless dress in purple with a black fringe on the hem, the pattern I drafted from her measurements fitted right away which must be some kind of miracle. Sorry, had to share I'm so excited! My little sewing album on Facebook is really growing.

Philip (sarah) Willis | 4630 comments Congratulations Emma! May it be the first of many.
As a teenager I made lots of clothes for myself mainly because I was so skinny I struggled to get anything to fit! I wish I still had that problem!
My favourite was a black corduroy 3 piece suit with a fitted waistcoat. On reflection I must have looked like a burnt matchstick wearing it but at the time I loved it.

Karen Lowe | 1338 comments Thanks Karen. I've nabbed the foam crafts one as I've loads of funky foam somewhere in the cupboard. Never sure what to do with it these days apart from using it for cutting rubber stamps.

Lynne (Tigger's Mum) | 4643 comments I really appreciate the free patterns you look out for us, Karen, I've just looked to see what I've missed over the last couple of days as I've been travelling and a couple are now £2.90 + £3.02 (I didn't want them) - I'm just pointing out how much you've saved us if they've been of interest. Thanks again x

Karen Lowe | 1338 comments I love the craft ones. I've been studying the foam craft one - it's how to make a fofucha doll, really cute. Tho I think I'd rather use a heat gun than the iron to shape the foam. Think it'd make a really cute angel for the tree at That time of year (can't mention it in June)

Kay (Golden Girl) | 2193 comments This is a plea to all you crafters that knit ,I am going up to visit my sister in Scotland and as she loves her garden I am knitting a land girl for her but unfortunately I need orange wool to make carrots ,only need about a 25 gr ball and grudge paying a large sum for a big ball ,thus I am asking if anyone has a very small ball of orange wool that they could send me ,will of course pay postage and price of wool , if anyone can help out will PM my address ,thanks for reading this

message 943: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I would send you some if I had any :o(

message 944: by Pat () (new)

Pat () | -245 comments Various shades of red but no orange at all, sorry.

message 945: by Kay (Golden Girl) (new)

Kay (Golden Girl) | 2193 comments Thanks Pat and Jud ,will need to make some other veg instead of the carrots ,searched the shops in town but they had no orange ,if i send for it the postage is dearer than the wool ,just hoped somebody had a little ball that could go in an envelope ,have to put my thinking hat on and decide on different veg ,

I'll have a rummage in my collection tonight Kay!

message 947: by Karen (new)

Karen Lowe | 1338 comments Sorry, don't knit either. I've used tapestry wool before when I've needed to add a small Something to a piece, but then tapestry wool isn't cheap either.

message 948: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I'll have a wee look in the shops in town on Saturday.

We talk too much
