Philip (sarah) Willis | 4630 comments Started making Christmas cards(EEEEK)!

Hubbie's and son's finished, also made several for MIL to send to her friends.
I made all my cards this past 2 years but don't think I'll have the time this year as I have so many other projects planned. I want to get back into my scrapbooking and have a cat quilt kit that I want to do! So many crafts ,so little time;@)

Karen Lowe | 1338 comments Yey, well done Sarah! I always make our cards - and always intend starting in good time as it's invariably a mad panic come December.
Am hoping the art class we're doing at the mo will give me some ideas.

Lexie Conyngham | 1297 comments I always make my Christmas cards in January - but then I forget where I've hidden them ...

Karen Lowe | 1338 comments Thanks Karen. Sorry not had much time to look at any new craft titles lately - trying to finish a few things before starting on the Christmas stuff. Oh, and I have made my first sugarpaste rose, practising for daughter's wedding cake! Wonderful what you can learn from Youtube.

Spent the last couple of days dismantling decommisioned mobile phone sites. This is what hubby and I do for a living these days! Talk about going from the sublime to the ridiculous - on Tuesday we were in the middle of a field in Wales, sun shining and glimpses of the sea - idyllic. The very next day, we are in Slough, on a roof top and in the pouring rain! Am shattered now - the Slough job was a big one and the lift didn't go right to the roof, so we had to manually carry the kit down a flight of stairs to the lift. Some of that stuff is really heavy! We take the working bits out of the mobile unit, which the mobile company then reuses on other sites. I haven't been online for the last couple of days to post the freebies. I'll do that now!

Karen Lowe | 1338 comments Thanks Karen. Surprised you have the time/energy to do any crafting after all that work.

T4bsF (Call me Flo) (time4bedsaidflorence) Anyone know of any Kindle baby knitting patterns for Christmas jumpers or cardigans (to fit 3 - 6 months)???

message 1268: by Kay (Golden Girl) (new)

Kay (Golden Girl) | 2193 comments I downloaded free patterns for christmas jumpers from the site DERAMORES but don't think there were any as small as 3-6 months ,but a few sites allow you to download patterns ,cant think of any sites at moment but will look later

message 1269: by T4bsF (Call me Flo) (new)

T4bsF (Call me Flo) (time4bedsaidflorence) Thanks Kay - I've found a couple of sites, but no patterns for the size I want.

message 1270: by Lexie (new)

Lexie Conyngham | 1297 comments What about this one?

http://www.debbieblissonline.com/Free...

It looks an easy one and from a glance I'd say small, too. Don't know what your skill level is! She has some nice patterns in her printed books, too.

message 1271: by T4bsF (Call me Flo) (new)

T4bsF (Call me Flo) (time4bedsaidflorence) Thanks Lexie - but I want Christmas ones. Skill level high - determination levels don't always match up though!! lol

message 1272: by Lexie (new)

Lexie Conyngham | 1297 comments You could always make your own, then! You can get that stretched graph paper for drawing patterns on for intarsia knitting.

message 1273: by T4bsF (Call me Flo) (new)

T4bsF (Call me Flo) (time4bedsaidflorence) That's a thought - mmmmmm - I might give that a try!! I could pick my own pic. then!!

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Our lovely Aunty Janet posted this on Facebook and said she'd love a pair. She doesn't knit and said they'd really help when her wrists are sore. Anyone fancy trying them?

Aunty Janet (janetauty) | 296 comments Thank you Patti! I have downloaded this and may give it a try, but the RA in my hands makes my fingers stiff so I'm not sure how I'll get on! I have very large hands and wrists so I'm not sure if they will fit anyway!x

I would be happy to give this a go for you. Measure your wrist and across your hand and pm me with your address. I will see what I can do.

That's so kind, thank you! I'll have a look for a tape measure and PM you later. I'll pay for the wool of course.
That's sweet of you too Emma.
So do I Patti, I don't post much, but I do read the daily compilation email. As you know, I'm more of a facebook gal, but I do keep in touch with what's going on!

Back to the subject of wrist warmers, I pinned this lovely pattern onto my pinterest boards the other day. It's a crochet pattern of course, but free.

Karen Lowe | 1338 comments I seem to have rather a lot of crafting opportunities suddenly. Not just designing templates for the new Quilt Detective book, and of course all the Christmas stuff, but we have a wedding (2015)to plan/craft for, and a new babe (2014) to look forward to. Soo excited!

... or is it just me who thinks of a wedding as a crafting opportunity?!!

message 1297: by Pat () (new)

Pat () | -245 comments Thanks Ladies but they don't take long to knit up and sorry Karen no photos already gone. Perhaps Janet will take one.
