I am halfway through Enchanted by Althea Kontis.

Phoenix77 | 346 comments This week I'm gloming Maya Rodale's "Writing Girls" series. Half way through A Groom of One's Own and so far it's been a fun, light read.

I bought the new Meg Benjamin, but for some reason felt the pull of paranormal (Halloween, perhaps?) so started reading Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning. So far it's fun.

I'm reading outside my usual subgenres today. Renegade is fantasy romance, but it's by Romance Bandita Nancy Northcott and its set in Georgia's Okefenokee Swamp, two good reason for me to read it.

Manda, I bought Antoinette Stockenberg's Emily's Ghost yesterday while it was on sale to reread for Halloween. It's about as paranormal as I read.

I also posted my review of EJ's soon-to-be-released novella, "Seduced by a Pirate," at Just Janga Friday. I loved it! It was such fun reading it, and Griffin totally stole my heart.

Theresa Romain | 420 comments Janga, great review! I'm looking forward to that novella.

For now, reading What Happens At Christmas by Victoria Alexander. I really enjoy her sense of humor.

Irisheyes | 896 comments I'm finishing up THAT THING CALLED LOVE by Susan Andersen. It's a cute read.

I'm waiting on all the releases tomorrow! I really have an itch to travel back to Virgin River so hopefully I can scratch that itch tomorrow with Robyn Carr's MY KIND OF CHRISTMAS! LOL

Thanks, Theresa.I really adored SBAP.

Irish, did you read Robyn Carr's interview at AAR last week. I had to laugh when she talked about writing what she thought were sexy scenes only to be told her books were comfort reads. I liked My Kind of Christmas a lot.

How are you liking it?

I'm reading Madeline Hunter's Secrets of Surrender. Oldie but goodie.

Irish eyes, besides the new Carr what else is being released tomorrow?
Thanks!

On my list for October 23 releases besides the Carr:

Christmas on Mimosa Lane, Anna DeStefano
Twelfth Night Secrets, Jane Feather
Angels at the Table, Debbie Macomber
When Snow Falls, Brenda Novak

Next Tuesday is a super release day. I have thirteen books on that list, including new ones from bb alums Maggie Robinson (Lord Gray's List) and Tiffany Clare (Wicked Nights with a Proper Lady).

message 15: by Theresa (new)

Theresa Romain | 420 comments Wow, Janga--I'll be saving my pennies for that last Oct Tuesday. Maggie mentioned that EJ's going to feature Lord Gray's List in her next column for B&N, so that's extra-extra reason to look forward to it.

Susan, I'm really liking What Happens at Christmas! VA has a dry wit that sort of reminds me of Loretta Chase. Her other Christmas stories have a nice balance of festivity and romance (the romance still dominates), and this one is the same so far.

Irisheyes | 896 comments Hey Janga, I didn't catch the interview but went back and read it. That was cute what she said about her ramping up the sex and everyone using her books as comfort reads. I remember thinking that, though, as I read the Grace Valley trilogy. I thought that if it just had more, not just sex but romance, besides June's relationship, I would have liked the books a lot more. And... voila! she delivers Virgin River! I was also very excited to read that she's planning another girlfriends book. I loved SUMMER IN SONOMA and re-read it often.

DLS, I thought a bunch more were coming out tomorrow that are actually not releasing until next Tuesday, October 30th. I'm anxiously awaiting Julie Anne Long's newest, A NOTORIOUS COUNTESS CONFESSES, and Roxanne St. Claire's BAREFOOT IN THE RAIN.

Okie, yeah it is. It is kind of a cute retelling of various fairy-tales.
