Well, I've given this book my best shot and just over three weeks of my life that I'll never get back. I'm just over 3/4 through, and I have at best no emotional investment in the stories, at worst actual frustration (looking at you, Half Lives). If the best this book can get from me is a "meh," then it's just not worth my time.

It doesn't helpt that I have a big pile of more entertaining books that just keeps growing. So I'm going to stop wasting my time with this and move on to something else.

(I also want the $12 I paid for the ebook back, but I don't think that's going to happen. Wouldn't be the first time I wasted money on something like this)

I think I'm going to put this book back on the shelf as well. I'm only 9% through and am really struggling at the language. I guess I am more of a simple reader and too many big words detract from my ability to understand and enjoy the story. I am looking forward to the movie as the preview looks good.

Actually you can get a refund on kindle books, but only within the first 7 days.

I am in agreement with the lack of emotional attachment. I made it 43% in 3 weeks and 2 days... I dropped it in my Lemmed shelf for now. Maybe I'll go for the audiobook in a few months. I need to want to come back to what has been a chore.
