What has surprised me the most, I guess, is how much humor I've found sprinkled throughout these chapters. I am definitely enjoying the read much more than I anticipated. Here's a quick post I did on my blog the other day listing a few things:

I agree Melville definitely had a sense of humor...I am glad to read it again and every time I pick up something new from it.
