I'm on chapter 17, I could probably catch up by tonight and then we could be on track and start discussing (:
Ok I've caught up, sorry it took so long I had to go to a hockey game last night that I had totally no idea that I was even going to. Anyways I was thinking that maybe instead of reading on a schedule we can just try to finish it by a certian date. Like Sunday, or Tuesday at the latest?

we have been dragging this for soo long :)
Sunday should be fine :))
Me to. I really liked it but I must say its not an all time favorite book. I mean the relationship between him and Sarah just didn't feel like it developed at all. Like they just met then they started kissing all the sudden he was invited to thanksgiving an then in the next few chapters they were basically saying "I love you."
A relationship that I really like compared to they movie was between John and Henri. They just seemed to communicate more and Henri wanted to develop his powers whereas in the movie he though it was a bad thing and that he shouldn't keep growing his powers. Also in the movie I didn't like the way he died. Of course it's horrible once a person dies but in the book as they say he died with dignity and I just like it way better that way.
Basically I think a lot of stuff was taken from the book and put into the movie. Another thing I didn't like was how some problems seemed to be resolved instantly. Like when they were at the magazine writers house and the Magdorians came. Same with a few other scenes.
Also it was totally unrealistic how Sarah just believed him and also how she wasn't creeped out. In Sam's case I think that since thy gradually eased into the explanation it was better.

Yeah I just watched the movie yesterday because I wanted to watch it again but it really wasn't good. The first time I watched it it was amazing, but now compared to the book it sucks that and it's been like two years. But I find it common for me to like the book better just because of the description and stuff. Like the Twilight series it's really good book wise but the movies really ruined it for me.

yeah like if i see the movie first i'll think it's amazing, but if there's a book that it's based on and i read it after the movie it's way better.
