I've been looking for this book about a female (I believe either detective or cop) who lives with a ghost of a college boy who wears some sort of letterman jacket (like Sockhop days). Later, a female ghost joins the group and the ghost kinda "hook up". The lead female later literally "runs" into a man (I think a minor God) who escaped from being chained in the Underworld to avenge his imprisonment against the woman (also a minor God) who made him fall in love with her and then betrayed him to [Hades?] the underworld lord.

I can't remember who was chasing the bad guy, but the lead female and the "God" run into each other while one is chasing some sort of creature or demon (bad guy). The bad guy clamps a bracelet on each of them, which casts a curse that prevents them from separating from each other more than (I think) 10 or 20 ft without them dying. They must live together at her place, and even test the bracelets range to see what distance poses fatal to them.

The situation is awkward at first because the "God" was extremely horny from imprisonment for (I think) centuries; in one part of the book, the female is taking a shower, and the "God" has the power to "teleport", and he accidently briefly appears in her shower with her, admiring her body so much that he reaches out and touches her, suprising them both! Later, seeing his agony, she even helps relieve his discomfort with a blowjob, then later they sleep together.

This is where my details are extremely sketchy: moving towards the end of the story, the "God" encounters his betrayer and doesn't kill her (if I recall right), dies protecting the lead female and winds up back in the Underworld, is released because of the circumstances of his death (some sort of deal involved), and returns to kick ass. Good guys win, but the story hints that there is more to the story, because some Gods/Creatures tell her that she has powers since she is only half human; it hinted that other books would explain her power, possibly her origin.

I can't remember the title, author, or when it published. All I have specific details of vaguely remembered scenes. Help me, please.

Well darn. I was sure I had it. If it isn't the right book it is almost the same story. It has the young male ghost (he's from the 80s though), then he meets a girl ghost. The couple are bound by magic wristbands, there is a groping shower scene (with blow job shortly after). And by his sacrifice of his death is what sets him free from Tartarus.

I think you're right with DREAM CHASER: the cover is familiar, and the names ring bells for me. I'm gonna buy it to verify and will post if it is! Thank you, thank you!!!

Wooo hoooo. Glad I could help. I keep a copy of it well one because it was a good book and two just in case I ever need a book to re-read with an X-named character for a challenge. They are so hard to find.
